Captain, could you enlighten us as to your creative process? Do you play and take notes, writing the entries later? Do you stop the game immediately to write entries as events present themselves? Are you still save scumming or has the fortress entered into a true state of invincibility?</STRONG>

I'm playing and writing as it comes. Using pause and sometimes save scumming. I save scum because there's still some weird stuff like, as I've just written, when the Captain fought the Hammerer, she counts as a citizen... which I didn't realise.
Effectively, this made him an enemy of his own city and nation.

I second that. Best literature work I have read in a while. And I read A WHOLE LOT of books. Not THE best, but is one of the best.

An artifact cabinet... Reading that gave me a warm feeling as he smashed the hammerer to death with it... all the crunching... *sigh*

MOOOOAAARRRR! I DEMAND MOOOAARR!

Whose dwarf is Nok?

Also, thirded behind Chaos and Lemnx. The artifact bit was priceless.

Whoa.

Nice.

I just hope that I'm  not going to be the next one to be crushed by Masterfully done furniture.

I assume you're sick of these requests, and I guess you have a system, but what's the status on additional Marksdwarves?  I requested Grimhild a while back; I'm sorry to be a total naghag, but you got your own awesomeness to blame :P

If it's simply full, think nothing of it, I just wanted to mention it.

On topic; I'm still looking for the chewing gum that projectiled out of my mouth upon reading a certain gabro-cabinet-related sentence.
Okay.  That's a slight exaggeration, I found it right away on my keyboard.  I don't want it anymore tho.  :(

Well, we're full to the brim on requests, and a bit slow on fulfilling them. At the moment, I'm looking at maybe stealing the caravan guards to increase my dwarf supply.

Captain's Log. 22nd of Malachite.
Its been two weeks of asking questions, and I've gotten nowhere.
Baron Lorn, who didn't seem particularly sad about the passing of a friend.
He suggested that it may have been caused by some fell creature possessing the Hammerer, which would explain her remarkable healing powers.

I was unsatisfied by his answers, and the answers of the Baroness weren't much better. Toralnil didn't really have any friends, so that was really the end of the questioning.

I took a look in her room, trying to turn something up. What I found was a room covered in jewelry.

The coffer itself was overflowing with it, and the cabinet was full of shoes!

All observations pointed to what I understand to be a typical woman, though Bomrek's room is completely devoid of these kinds of items.

Note: I've tested with the companion, and this doesn't work on humans and most likely elves (not that you'd want any). So you'll have to wait for the dwarven caravan to do this, but that shouldn't be much of a problem.

I'm not sure what sort of southern dwarf fortress you think we're living in here...
It may be near the very pole of the southern hemisphere, but it's not that far south.

Yeah, I would be your (Eldest?) son.
