"Now, why do you guys have to go and start fighting each other? It really accomplishes nothning."

(As now seems as good a time as any to do so, I'm gonna go out on a limb and inform you guys about Pringer tech and politics.

As, due to my rather twisted sense of humor, the Pringers are unable to wield regular weapons because of the way they're made, they have to create all the regular equipment that normal races could trade for with each other. This does give them the benefit of potential enemies not being able to use their equipment. However, upon experimenting, they've discovered the various uses of (and how to make) gunpowder, even coming up with crude firearms. They are extremely innacurate and have a tendancy to explode, so they're mainly kept for purposes of respect and intimidation.

As for their politcal system, the Pringers are governed by one main congress. Bribing is commonplace and accepted, and if someone fails to get a proposal through, they can try to 'pursaude' the council through force. If a pringer attempts this and fails, however, they are executed by the council.

Only the most powerful pringers can get a seat on the council, and their subsequent authority there is governed by power. It is not unheard of, however, for non-pringers to make their way into congress.))

"With what?" Marcellus asked, "it simply does not do to dabble about in the works of technology with no clear direction."

Flavvius approached, sitting down on a stool across from the mechanic.

"As I'm sure you've heard, our recent... encounter this past few weeks didn't go quite as well as it could have. We did well enough with what we had, but against an army of warriors that can fly without wings, and attack from above, bypassing the bulk of our defenses, we need something... new."

Marcellus laid down his tools, and turned to look Flavvius in the eye.

"So what you're trying to tell me is, you want me and my students to build a contraption... for fighting flying men?"

Marcellus turned back to his work, and grinned.

Felu and his 20 zefies were finally getting out of that thrice accursed forest. The trees started to thin out and several of the better eyed zefies claimed to see mountains in the distance. Before long, even Felu could see that the terrain was becoming fairly rocky hills. Felu saw one hill that was a bit taller and decided, "We shall settle on that hill yonder."

When the group had got to the top and started to unpack, someone noticed a spark walking up the hill. One of the zefies asked "What is that sir? What should we do?"

Felu strained his poor eyes and eventually made out a humanoid figure. Except, it seemed to be on FIRE?!? 'QUICK THE POOR CREATURE'S BURNING! SOMEONE GET A BUCKET OF WATER!"

Gouzzi had made all haste to the new capital. He was quite suprised by the progress that had been made so quickly. He found Yankee, suprivising the construction of a temporary paliside. "What's up mon ami?"

Yankee looked up and motioned Gouzzi to some extra chairs laying around. "I'd like you to suprivise the planning of Hopegem, Gouzzi."

"You seem to be doing a very good job by yourself already sir."
"I can plan defenses fine, but you are much better with civie stuff. gI'd guess that we may have an influx of 1000 refugees who have no skills except soap making soon enough."

"What will you do, Yankee?"
"I'll work here for a while and then follow the southern settlement group. I intend for siegebreak to be very well defended indeed. Anyway, they probably have established the spot already, and we need word from them. The road crew will be building the road to Felu's group. I can move the most effectivly through woods. I'm the best for the job."

No growth for now. Siegebreak is established, and Felu's group establishes where the !!elf!! is. Felu hadn't thought to give it a name, so it won't have one for now.

Armok, the zefies are more than happy to have peaceful relations. Depending on what is found by the mining group, metals would probably be accepted.

Fothacema saw them coming for awhile, though the fact that they flew through the air to meet him was a bit surprising.  There was six of them, all armed and wearing light armor.  They circled warily at a distance for awhile then they all split up and landed in a circular fashion around the elf, but they still kept their distance.

For 20 days and 20 the forests burnt, a single gigantic bonfire to honor the godess. It was inspiring. The Valtans would burn. Slowly. Again and again, untill they surrendered.

Madara let the 12 fasted flyers assemble and set them towards Zurinth.
They orders were made clear, more than clear. Just pester them from the sky. Throw some bombs at whatever houses were left intact or at whatever houses were repaired the most. And so they did. A lightning like attack. Before the guards even realized what the horns from the watchtowers meant, the first houses were already hit by fire spheres. The attack was hastily, and not well aimed, so out of 12 bombs, only 3 found suitable targets. One of the targets, a house far at the northern edge of the city completely burnt to ruins, as it was too far away from the water to be saved. A pair of 2 elderly Valtan, who were just to old to escape the flames died when the house collapsed. Two other targets, a small fishery and a contruction site were saved, but severly damaged.

One they, they will leanr what it means to be burnt down, again and again. they will learn.

The diplomatic new species encounter greeting codex plate of Efil-inira:
The DNSEGCP ((Pronounce that!  )) is standard issue for diplomats in case the shuld encounter an unknown civelisation, and it is to be read aloud to any first encontered representative of that civ.
The plate itself is an aluminium tablet about 30x50cm and 4-5mm thick; it is titled “-Diplomatic New Species Encounter Greeting Codex of Efil-inira-” and has the Efil-inira symbol of a tree made from fire engraved at the bottom together whit the signature of The Seat of Authority (currently Acathiima, if this is the first of my posts you read.), and also on the backside. All work is of the highest quality and all the text high formal calligraphy. Each plate is a work of art.

Amizoimi was trekking along the edge of the forest, but staying always on the cliffs as to net set fire to the trees.
Suddenly he herd the sound of voices from beyond a nearby hill, he was overcome whit glee! He had virtually already succeeded his mission and much faster than he could have imagined running towards him!
He turned towards the sound, smiling, and saw the most adorably cute creature he had seen in ages.
It was big ball of compact black fluff about a metre tall, or so it seemed, it had huge eyes and small stumpy legs, he also noticed it held some kind of bucket thing that he didn’t pay much attention to other than as evidence it was indeed a civilised sentiment. ((I hope this description is right, otherwise please correct me))
He was overcome by an impulse to hug it hard and cuddle it, and spread his arms out to do so, then he realised to his disappointment that would probably fry it.
Instead he greeted it in a friendly and cheerful voice; “Hello wonderful fellow creature!  Sadly you probably shouldn’t come any closer or you might harm yourself due to my temperature.”
Then he remembered the training, pulled out his DNSEGCP plate, and began to read aloud an a more formal but just as friendly tune.
When he had come so far as “...bring me to your leader and...” the creature stopped about two meters from him and spilled the bucketful of water over him.
Amizoimi was completely caught by surprise, but he had elven agility on his side and in one fluid motion he:
1)   Dodged the water flying over him.
2)   Made a backwards roll abaut 3 meters.
3)   Drew his ¤Titanium bow¤.
4)   Lit and nocked a magnesium tipped arrow. ((I think the word is nocked, but I’m not a native speaker so…))
5)   Aimed at the creature, but didn’t fire.
And then he just stood there, eyes wide of surprise, confusion, and maybe even fear or sad disappointment.

Felu soon got a bucket of water from one of his soldiers and immediately started running towards the poor thing, shouting to get its attention.
Soon he lost it as he ran down from the high hill but he kept running, and soon he passed up another hill, and almost stumbled upon it 50m or so away, he kept running, but couldn’t help to see a few very strange things.
It was indeed a humanoid, specifically an elf, but as noted it was on fire, but didn’t seem bothered by it, and it also had very strange metal equipment from material he had never even herd of. ((this might need changing as I vaguely remember him coming from a high tech background, would he recognize things like titanium, tungsten, aluminium, and uranium at sight?))
The creature turned towards him, and seemed indeed very happy to see him, it spoke some words in a strange tongue, then seemed to remember something and pulled forth a plate of a strange silvery metal. ((aluminium))
It began to read from the plate in the same strange language, it sounded ritual or formal, but still friendly.
He was finally there, and emptied the bucket over the !!elf!!, most because that was what he set out to do and he did it whiteout thinking.
The !!elf!! dodged the water whit an amazing stunt the put it much further away and whit and arrow that shone like the sun pointed towards him, and when he got over the blinding of the bright light he saw its look, like if he had committed some kind of treason and/or attacked it.

we need a objective volunteer. This will receive the strategies from me and Imp via PMs and write what appears to be the most logical outcome, and try to be as fair and objective as possible.

the writing style doesn't matter, so if you feel insecure about your writing quality, that doesn't matter at all
if you want to, you can just briefly summarize the tactics used, and wether they worked or not, together with the outcome (how many dead, how many injured beyond the point that they won't heal in one turn, how many houses/ships/ballistae destroyed etc.

I will go to bed now, so I can't send my strategy to the volunteer immediatly.
I will send it out when i get up in the morning (given that there is a volunteer by then), which is several hous before the turn changes.
If there is no volunteer, well, I don't know what we will do without a volunteer
this time I have a very specific strategy, and it will be secret, so if Imp wrote a version, it would not be included. Imp has some sort of anti-air weapon, which is also secret, so if I wrote a version, it wouldn't be included as well. Of course, just telling the other side the secret will simply give them the ability to prepare and adjust their original strategy to something they shouldn't know about, so that's out of question

so please, someone volunteer, we do not need a giant block of writing or anything, we just need a fair objective decision on what would happen when both sides clash, can be done in 10 minutes, so a "I have no time" os just a "I am too lazy" in disguise
