((
Important: If anyone watching is interested in taking over the Koneko Civ let me know. I'm leaving for US Marine Corps Officer Candidate School on Wednesday and will be gone for 10 weeks. I wish I could keep playing but I just got my orders yesterday so its on for real.
Also, Jam, I made a mod for the Koneko race I could send you if you want. I can't figure out how to make them all female and still reproduce. I dont think its possible at the time...))

Hanabira suddenly remembered she had an -elf- in her pocket. She reached in and grabbed the disheveled creature and dusted him off a bit. He must have been in there for what seemed like months to him.
Without a sound she disapeared from the table and once again arrived at Maki's door in Oakvale, with the elf standing next to her. The surprised tree-lover stood just about the same height than Hanabira now, who preferred to present herself slightly taller than her Koneko followers. She put her hand on the elf's shoulder and gave him the ability to speak their language.
"Don't worry now, for some reason, I've decided to spare you from another eternity of purgatory enslavement."
"I... uhh...."
"No worries." she cut him off and then knocked on the familiar oak door.
"Come in!" came Maki's voice from the office.
Hanabira gave the elf a gentle nudge and walked in behind him.
"Hello my lady.. um, what is that?"
"He is an Elf, his name is Themiyi Pimaada. He came from another world, but I'm afraid the agony he has endured has erased his memory of the place. Maybe he will remember with time."
"Thats terrible... well at least I can provide him a place here in Oakvale."
"Thank you Maki, I'm going to see Kira. She is doing well and I'll be sending her on the return trip soon."
This at least was some good news, Maki thought. She was glad to be able to help the creature, but doubted whether he would pull his weight.

There was a commotion in the otherwise quiet morning coming from Kira's tent. She was scrambling around the tent attempting to find her medical kit. Those blasted fishes were in the river also, but at least this one had been alive, complete with skin and all...
Although she vowed not to go back to the lake, she couldn't resist eating more freshly caught catfish from the river. While sitting on the bank, the giant fish jumped up and was able to mangle her right hand before she grabbed her dagger and rammed it through the fish's eye and directly into it's brain. The great lump of a fish lay there next to her as she began wrapping up her hand with some silk bandages from her kit.
Hanabira appeared behind her and gave a shout that made Kira jump around and grab her dagger again, since she was already on edge. "Good grief!! Cant I just get a friendly hello sometimes!?!"
"Nope."
Kira sighed, "Well what is it? Look at my hand from that stupid giant fish! I;m sick of running around out here in the friggin boonies. I want to go home..."
Taken aback, Hanabira waved her hand over the bandages, "I'm sorry Kira, I need you to do this for me and everyone in the valley. Here, take this."
She held out an amulet to Kira. Unusual yet masterful craftmanship, it was made out of superior quality cut emerald with an image of an oak tree. It was encircled with bands of a strange clear rock Kira didn't recognize.
Kira reached out and noticed her hand had been healed, then grabbed the amulet and put it on. "Thanks for my hand."
"Your welcome."
"What is this for?" Kira asked, holding up the amulet.
"It will let you communicate with Maki in Oakvale. Just hold it in your hand and whisper whatever you want to say to her, she will be able to hear you."
"Can she talk to me?"
"Not yet, it was kind of a spur of the moment decision for me to give you that, especially because of where I'm sending you. I want you to always remember where your from and what your doing for the Koneko."
"Where are you sending me anyway? I havent seen a forest yet."
"Go to the southeast around the lake and you'll spot the forest to the northeast. They know you are coming, and as long as you keep your head you'll be fine. After that I'll need you to return to the Valley. I must go."
"Thank you Hanabira."

"Well thats that," Hanabira stated as she sat back at the table. "She should be on the right track now Shelesh."
