Destroying Pillars?
« on: August 10, 2006, 01:38:00 am »

After a few games of killing bears and just learning the controls, i started a new one intent on creating a successful fortress. About 10 minutes into the game i suffered my first cave in. One more game later i had dug in for about 20 minutes, haphazardly placing support beams randomly about the cave with the idea that "i would just rearrange them once i planned out the cave." Much to my surprise, i managed to plan out something nice, and just when i get to building... I cant remove the pillars?! Surely there's a way to get rid of the buggers? Or am i just going to have to be more careful when i first design my fortress?

[t], move over to building and then
  • should do it.  Or were they not destroying them once you told them to?  Pillars probably don't have a [q] view, but they should have a [t].

Ahh yea, that was it. I must've missed [t] in my frustration. Thank you Toady One, it's really awsome how quickly you respond despite how short the games been out.  :)

It's probably because I haven't slept more than 4 hours since then...  I think I'm going to go to sleep now.
