Not anymore they're not.

Fortunately, as POWER beings, Spider Demons are extremely rare.

I'm making demons and other megabeasts more dangerous as well.
My reasoning is that I don't want two-bit second rate adventurers who can't even assault a goblin fortress with any degree of success taking down megabeasts by merely mobbing them.

Listen, I'm in the process of making one seriously nasty M-F of a megabeast.  It requires its own body type, and I'm spending most of my time working on that aspect.  Would you like for me to post it for you when I'm through?

My testing capabilities are slightly limited, so if you could report back on how the thing's faring (if it's perhaps just a tad too powerful), that would be nice.


Of course, that's only if you want the blighted thing in the first place.

I'd like to take a look at it at least.
My opinion is that the current megabeasts just aren't mega enough.

I think I've ironed out the main problems, like when it started with six right arms instead of three (accidentally copied the body parts), and I added in an attack that was missing (goring people with that little head's horn), and changed it so he blasts people with his brain, not his upper body (very odd attack messages...).

He bleeds, and both hearts are in the same place, so there's a chance both will get taken out by a well-placed pointy thing (that's how I died in adv. mode.  One bandit elite crossbowman placed a bolt through both hearts and my brain).


I took inspiration from a critter found in another game, but there have been changes made.  Also, feel free to take out the [WEBBER] tag if you don't like having "abomination silk" lying around.

Status update: Going alright.
Now have a considerable larger number of annoying and dangerous evil creatures.

Also, from IRC, the idea of a Demon cat. I figure the idea of goblins worshipping an evil cat to be most amusing.

Status update:
We're moving into the whole combo mod zone it seems.
I've collected up a large portion of Chariot's Zoo and Angler mods, and some of the stuff from the Martial Arts mod, mainly creatures, but also some armor and other minor items.

New Civs include Titans (no longer are they megabeasts), Lizardmen, and Tigermen.

The megabeast replacing it will be something that better fits the title of Megabeast.
