Playing evil entities

Has anyone experimented with playing an entity in the evil group? Can you trade with other evil races? Will the good races siege you?

So far, the only my own race has traded with me in testing.

I was able to answer my own question - Yes they will trade with you.

Some funny things happen, though. When they trade with you and leave with their animal cages the message "a kidnapper has made off with the mule"  pops up  :D

I played around with it a bit more. It is certainly viable to make evil races trade together. However, in DF right now evil races are active in all seasons. So you have a choice of either reducing the difficulty of fortress mode by making the evil civs inactive in some seasons (when you are playing good) or having caravans arrive every season (when you are playing evil). As it is, I don't think I'm going to pursue this further right now. I think if "active season" was split into trading, and war then this would be more viable.

I didn't try adding babysnatcher to a friendly race. It would be interesting if they attacked just like an evil race.

I suppose wars and things are going to change as the army arc progresses. I think I'll wait until later to tool around with playable evil civs some more.

I've been using an evil race for some time now with no serious problems. Looks like friendly evil civs won't steal your babies.
