Bone walls?
« on: February 25, 2008, 12:44:00 pm »

Is there anyway to make it possible to build walls out of bones (or skulls or skins or meat or chunks or guts or vomit or remains or corpses)? Perhaps by making  reactions to make them into blocks in the smelter?

You can make blocks out of bones in the smelter, yes. I believe the syntax for the product is BLOCK:NO_SUBTYPE:BONE:HUMAN, substituting human with the creature ID.

Works with plant thread, at least.  :p

Creatures act funny in reactions.  A reaction producing a creature material (leather, silk, etc) doesn't often produce what you think it should (a dwarf leather reaction may produce hoary marmot leather instead).  In fact, it'll often use a creature with undefined temperature data for the material in question.  Clouds of silken death (boiling point 0, initial temp 0) are a common result.
