Heal Mod.
« on: January 17, 2008, 12:03:00 pm »

Tired of losing another dwarf to wounds, I decided to see if heal.exe works/helps... so you can predict my next question...

How does it work exactly?

(link me to a post if there is one, but I couldnt find it)

First you get it working with the version of DF that you have.  This involves creating a file named memory.ini with certain information from the author's wiki page.  You put this file in the same directory as heal.exe, which does not have to be the DF directory.

After that, you use the v key to move the cursor on top of the unit you want affected.  Then run heal.exe.  If you want to hurt a unit, select that unit and run "heal.exe -hurt".

Or do you want the technical information about how it alters DF?  You can pretty much figure it out from the information in the Memory hacking page.  Creature structure, Bodypart health vector.
