i wanna make my wraiths drop iron plate mail, i obviously fail in this endeavor (game crashes 50% of all times i kill one, otherwise nothing happens). does anyone here know the exact token?

EDIT: and by the way, is it possible to make large_roaming creatures carry equipment with them when they spawn?

To the second: no. Not unless they form a civ, and even then only in migrant groups or civ sites.

To the first: I believe it's ITEMCORPSE:ARMOR:ITEM_ARMOR_PLATEMAIL:METAL:PLATINUM , or whatever other metal. It worked for shard swords and shields from golems and elementals in my mod.

Nope. It will drop an armor of the same size as the creature, AFAIK. If your wraiths are size 9 and your adventurer is a size 7 human, the armor will be too large.

I really think the game might display that kind of thing, the numerical representation of size difference.

ok, i think it has to do with the body composition of my wraiths... even if their size is 6 the armor wont fit. they do have wings, maybe thats the issue... maybe i make their corpse a special sword instead

To my knowledge, it is not currently possible to have a creature drop another (living) creature as a corpse. Otherwise I'd have "possessed peasants" dropping "exorcised peasants" when defeated, and birds that drop their own corpse plus sometimes an egg that hatches (dies of old age) into a baby of the same species after a while. Damn!

I can't find ANY way of making LOTS of dwarves really fast.

There is a limit to how many dwarven children can be born at a time, youc an't smelt dwarves, and now I find out I can't have 100 dwarven recruits spew out of every dead dwarf.

Is there any way to increase your population by anything other than 10 babies at a time, or immigrants?

I hate waiting for 400 dwarves!

You can spawn pet vermin....

The best way to get lots of dwarves is to amplify immigration.

Try adding LIKES_SITE:PLAYER_FORTRESS and TOLERATES_SITE:PLAYER_FORTRESS to the dwarves, without overwriting anything. If it affects realtime play, you might have lots of migrants.

I currently have immigrants coming at every season (yay) but that will be cool if it increases the amount of them.

If you want more dwarves, add the pet and common domestic tags to dwarves and gen a new world.  This makes dwarves a potential pet for any dwarf faction which you can purchase for 1 point each at startup. They will be unskilled peasants and if you leave the pet and common domestic tags they may breed like pets. However unless you use dwarf foreman you can't change their jobs.
