I dunno. That's why I put a Megaupload link too.

As to your question, Deon - Yes, it's the new version spawning critters differently. I'll try to do something about that.

Hmm. Hell, I don't know, Deon. Rapidshare might have upgraded their java server (though I've never seen a mention of java anywhere). Megaupload wants me to install their toolbar, and does not let me to the file, so I can't check.

I've got no problems with rapidshare. At what point, exactly, do you get the error?

Maybe you should try again? It might have been a heisenbug....

Yay, now rapidshare is working =).

And I installed the Megaupload f**** toolbar for IE (I use Opera anyway) but it still blocks me =).

There is of course an alternative to Rapidshare and Megaupload available... http://dffd.wimbli.com/about.php

Ah. There, I've finally been able to register there.

I'll upload my pair of mods there now.

I found a glitch.

I attacked a cheetah and decapitated it's neck, it's head is still attached to the body...

"Minimum", as in, "none". That was just an advertisement.  :)

The removed neck not decapitating is a very well-known bug, but I can't fix it unless I link the upper body to the neck, which is not feasible, because I'll need to revert the entire body tree (make it start from the head instead of upper body). For now, it can only assume the neck was "destroyed", and will not disconnect the parent part, because no damage has been done to the parent.

A roundabout way would be to make the neck a completely separate bodypart, and add some kind of spine to that, which can be broken. This will mean the neck will only be breakable if the neck is grabbed (not the most realistic design), and it will not suffer damage when the nead is hit (also not realistic).

It's a shame that necks dont heal, making this the worst possible Mod to use soldiers in. One kick to the neck, and you're on Guard duty the rest of your dwarven career.

I don't know how to heal that particular side effect without resorting to giving the elves absolutely no digging implements at all. Yes, they will periodically bring you adamantine shovels. Not that it's bad. SOMEONE had to imprison the demons in adamantine - it might have been elves. Maybe it's a byproduct of their eternal life, I don't know.

And why do necks not heal? A severe enough wound (yellow) to the neck will result in death, invariably, because the creature will suffocate. A lower than yellow wound will either heal quickly or not cause any side effects of sufficient magnitude.

I have about 15 recruits who've been resting because of a brown neck for about... ever. They havent healed, and doesnt seem like they ever will.

It's also the same with grey injuries.

Hmm. Oh well.

I'll relink it back the way it was then. Being hit in the neck is fairly realistic though.

Although, no, I'll try the completely-separate-neck scenario first.
