What I'm personally looking for are names that are both fitting of Dwarf Fortress, have a good ring to them, and have a meaning to back it up. You'll notice that all of my favorites have obvious ties to Dwarf Fortress; this is important, since this wiki is ABOUT Dwarf Fortress.

Also, here's a new one, inspired by some of the others:
"Urist Tomescribed's Tales of Failed Empires"

Even better, I really like this one:
"The Dwarven Archives: Tales of Empires and Loss"

Hehe, couldn't resist this one:
"Urist Tomescribed's Coping With Loss and Failure"

I think a shorter name would probably be best, but that's just my opinion.  Things can get a bit strained if the name is too long.  Something short, that's either an inside joke or is just innately humorous.  Like a dwarf.

Of course a very good point, and something I was thinking about as I typed those out. There's an argument for both sides, because on one hand you could have a nice, efficient, funny name, or on the other hand you could use a humorously long-winded name that's sort of a throwback to the ridiculous names that DF generates.

I do suppose that if we use a long name, it ought to be one that can be shortened easily. Otherwise what was originally a funny inside joke will end up being an annoying, awkward title that can't be improvised in everyday speech (or text, for you technicality junkies

After much thought, I believe I have come up with a long and short name for the Stories Wiki:

It can be done in-game (It looks great as a Dwarven Adventurer). It can be Duradmelbil for short, or even shorter, we call it "The Stories Wiki", meaning "The Wiki of Stories"
