Crawling critter
« on: December 22, 2007, 11:15:00 am »

I'm having a bit of a hard time with a custom creature. It likes to crawl on the ground instead of stand-up.

code:
 [BODY:MANTID]
[BP:HD:head][CON:UB][HEAD]
[BP:UB:thorax][UPPERBODY]
[BP:LB:abdomen][CON:UB][LOWERBODY]
[BP:RA1:right first leg][CON:LB][LIMB]

[BP:LA1:left first leg][CON:LB][LIMB]

[BP:RF1:right first foot][CON:RA1][STANCE]

[BP:LF1:left first foot][CON:LA1][STANCE]

[BP:RA2:right second leg][CON:LB][LIMB]

[BP:LA2:left second leg][CON:LB][LIMB]

[BP:RF2:right second foot][CON:RA2][STANCE]

[BP:LF2:left second foot][CON:LA2][STANCE]

[BP:RA3:right arm][CON:UB][LIMB]

[BP:LA3:left arm][CON:UB][LIMB]

[BP:RF3:right claw][CON:RA3]
[GRASP]
[BP:LF3:left claw][CON:LA3]
[GRASP]

Hopefully someone will be able to point out my oversight. I always seem to forget something   :)

What is the [BODY] tag in the creature?
You might have forgotten lungs or something other silly, I see no immediate reason the [STANCE] tags wouldn't work.

Body tag is:

code:
 [BODY:MANTID:2EYES:HEART:GUTS:BRAIN:MANDIBLES:4WINGS:2ANTENNAE]

I didn't give the creature lungs, but I didn't think it was necessary since giant cave spiders don't have lungs either, and they work fine.

I have a creature that does the same. And it has all the normal organs and can otherwise function normally.

Instead of attaching both legs to the lowerbody I attached one set to the upperbody and it worked fine.

How strange!
