Well, I don't use any other mods.
Anyways, I'll create a new world once I get this adventurer killed.
I'll report the results as soon as I get it.

EDIT: Nope, nothing again. Either something's wrong, or I'm just unlucky.

ok, got it working. Instead of naming your files exactly as they are in the OP, remove the .txt ending(eg. hornet instead of hornet.txt).

In other news the hornets in my game replaced the elf civs. Aside from that they seem to work pretty well.    :D

I assume you can't squad up with other hornets?

Hmmm... what text editor do you use? Maybe it added .txt automatically so that the name became "hornet.txt.txt".

They are supposed to partially replace the elves. on worldgen the game creates 3 forest civs, choosing randomly the species, so there is a 1/9 chance to not get any hornets in a given world, and a 1/9 chance to get no elves.

You should be perfectly able to in adventurer mode get hornets to join you, try talking to "wrestlers" or "elite bowmen".
(by the way those names are the worst bug in the mod, both should be called something else, but the game only supports changing some of the names)

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////

So why have no one told any stories about what what they have done? just post any message log containing heads being bitten of or run thought completely!

I posted this in another thread (Gruesome Deaths And Successful Saves):

code:

** Starting Adventurer **

-travels from my forest retreat to a nearby dwarven fortress,
nothing noteworthy happens, it is easy to find
the entrance when you can fly and after
a while I find a sleeping guard in one of the rooms-

You strike at The Guard but the shot is blocked!
The Guard counterstrikes!
The Guard misses You!
You strike at The Guard but the shot is blocked!
You strike at The Guard but the shot is blocked!
The Guard counterstrikes!
The Guard hacks at You in the right foreleg tibia with her Steel battle axe!
The shot glances away.
You strike at The Guard but the shot is blocked!
The Guard counterstrikes!
The Guard hacks at You in the abdomen with her Steel battle axe!
It is badly gashed!
Your spleen has been badly cut!
Your right kidney has been badly cut!
Your lower spine has been badly cut!
The Steel battle axe has lodged firmly in the wound!
The Steel battle axe remains stuck in your abdomen.
You strike at The Guard but the shot is blocked!
The Guard counterstrikes!
The Guard misses You!
You strike at The Guard but the shot is blocked!
-lots of evading and away glancing-
The Guard counterstrikes!
The Guard misses You!
You bite The Guard in the right upper arm!
It is broken!
You latch on firmly!
The Guard stands up.
You shake The Guard around by the right upper arm!
It is mangled!
You shake The Guard around by the right upper arm!
The Guard loses hold of the small Steel right gauntlet.
The right upper arm is ripped away and remains in Your grip!
You bite The Guard in the right upper leg!
The shot glances away.
You strike at The Guard but the shot is blocked!
You charge at The Guard!
You bite The Guard in the right upper leg!
It is broken!
You collide with The Guard!
The Guard is knocked over and tumbles backward!
The Guard gives in to pain.
You sting The Guard in the upper body with your sting!!!!!
It is pierced through completely!    :)

Stories whiteout log is equally welcome!  :)

In Windows XP (and others), they hide the .txt (which is kinda lame)   :(

ZOMFG! GIANT HORNETS! MUHAHAHA! I'll Slay my 70+ Dwarven Kingdom! *Evil grin*
Can't wait to get home and try this... Only 1 problem, the txt file comes up as: (E.G ) "body_hornet[OBJECT:BODY][BODY:WASP][BP:UB:thorax][UPPERBODY]"
Isn't there mean to be "carriage returns"? Like:
(E.G )
body_hornet[OBJECT:BODY]
[BODY:WASP]
[BP:UB:thorax]
etc?

Your probably using Notepad to view a file he made with Wordpad. Right-click on the file and click "Open With" then "Wordpad" (I think).

I'm really frustrated that Armok doesn't notice when I say ON MY COMPUTER THE PURRING HORNETS ARE MARKED WITH A RED + AND MOVE SLOW AS A ZOMBIE WITHOUT LEGS!!! Please tell me what is wrong. They still are deadly, however.

THESE ARE NOT PURING HORNETS!
And if I knew what the problem was I would help you, but it should work and whiteout looking at your computer I cant tell what is wrong.

I didn't say PURING. Well, let me look at the file data...oh well, I can't find anything wrong with them. By the way I got them from Teldin's Mod 2, but they were broken in TM 1 too.

These are not related to the purring hornets in in Teldins mod!
These are much older, and a civ whit a lot of other unique details about their culture and so on.
