Feature questions

Here is a screeshot to a prototype "dwarf companion" i'm working on :
screenshot.

What would be useful to print on the "main" page, displayed on the screenshot? (If somebody knows how to retrieve each dwarves current tasks ...) And how would you display it? For example, right now the "wounds" column shows the biggest wound of each character, but a dwarf with all limbs hurt will look the same as a dwarf with a single limb, or organ, hurt.

And while i'm at it, i plan on adding:
* creature details
* mood helper (perhaps cheat?)
* statistical indicators for graphs, hopefully allowing fortress builders to evaluate their productivity. What kind of indicators would be useful ?
* perhaps when traits are well described an helper to assign dwarves to positions they will like?

Looks awesome!

One thing I think might be useful, is if you plan on using a Data-base style to display Dwarf info would be the ability to 'hide' or 'expand' columns.
Like, for example, that first dwarf, with the 9 'wounds', could it be made so that if I double-click on the wound column it would give a breakdown of limb-by-limb of how injured his limbs are? Like in the skills column, but with an optional toggle in the menu to hide undamaged limbs (unless one wants to damage them  :))

This looks like it will be the greatest utility ever created. Do you have an ETA?
Perhaps you could add how much experience is left under the skills column?

Such as:
Miner - 15 [2231/2400]

Where the Miner is the skill, 15 is the level, 2231 is current exp, and 2400 is the exp required for the next level. An attribute based exp thing would be helpful  as well.

Updated the tool, new screenshot at the same place:

Here is preliminary mood helper! Would a "cheat" feature, allowing the edition of the whole list, be useful? Or just plain cheating?  :)

It would be useful, if we could also edit the labor settings or nickname and profession name from there...

Looks awesome.  I just have to point out, though, you spelled "happiness" wrong - sorry, degree in literature, I can't help it!

I can't wait until it's ready.  This will be a huge help.  Excellent work so far.

Updated the screenshot ...

Something funny happens when you put the slaughter bit to a dwarf : it gets butchered, and leaves a shoe  :)

This looks very interesting.  I could see this being heavily used.

My vote is to allow the cheat feature, I mean, if someone wanted to cheat they would just use something like heal.exe anyway.

Besides, were all mature here, we all know that the only reason to cheat is when it gets around a bug or creates hilarious results. (anyone remember the flying cars cheat in GTA?)

Don't be too eager ... I'll soon (next year i guess) release my prototype, but it's python with several additional modules and dll's. It will require the installation of those packages, and might not be so great.

However I'll eventially write à C/C++ version that will quite likely use the dwarf fortress utility framework and will allow easy installation.

Very impressive!

Do my eyes deceive me, or does it allow the editing of a dwarf's proper names?

Actually, I'd like to know, is it capable of creating a link between two dwarves that registers them as married as well?
