Megabeasts and challenging creatures

Why? This thread may be usefull for storing megabeasts and challenging creatures. The game is too easy when goblins don't attack. Thus, terryfying area with dangerous creatures is more chalenging, and more megabeasts, the bigger chance.

Currently I have no modded megabeasts to contribute.

I have no creatures to add, but you could try modifying the current creatures. double the size and add some damage block (or increase it if they have any) for starters, that should make them much tougher.

I whipped up a quick Tarrasque and Cthulhu. Dunno if they'll work, since I've never made any before, but you're pretty screwed if it ever spawns a Cthulhu.

There is a post on these forums with megabeasts based on legendary creatures like fenrir. It's from not too long ago, but I haven't been able to find it.

large creatures get a size bonus to damage against small creatures

elephants last version only had a 1:2 attack, but being 10 sizes larger than dwarves thats more like 11:12(or maybe 10:11)

this thing would do 15:16(or 14:15) and 15:20(or 14:19)

not sure if size bonus starts one size up or 2

Great. Do I need to start new world or fortress? Case I just found a perfect place with terryfying desert and brook but aquifer :/. But drafting everyone to military to kill zombie grizzly bears ain't that hard. Also, Can megabeasts arrive in zombie/skeletal varieties?  :D
