Wild wagons?

I read somewhere recently that the caravan's wagons are implemented as creatures.

So does this mean I can make herds of wagons spawn around my fort?

Just add a [BIOME:WHATEVER] tag to it and then some other stuff. I believe it's in the raws under creature_item or such.

Well, they wouldn't exactly be giant.

If I make them aquatic, they don't stay on the surface. They can go below the surface.

which gives me another idea: Nautili as megabeasts? Captain Nemo would be proud.  :D

An interesting idea would be to have vehicles work the same as creatures only 3 by 3 instead of 1 by 1, each vehicle able of carrying a couple creatures and various items. It would especially be nice if they had the same tag setup. So, you could have a land vehicle, an [AQUATIC] vehicle, a vehicle with [SPEED:200], or for high magic/high tech mods, a [FLIER] vehicle.

Great idea, although I don't have nearly the skill required to implement it. Actually, the idea of war wagons dawned on me while reading your stories.

Not sure if it works ingame, try adding it to CREATURE_DOMESTIC and make a new world. Dont have time right now to test it.
