modding the color of wood

Is it possible to do so? If so, how? I was thinking of making hammocks/rock beds and being able to make rock/metal waterwheels etc, and it wouldn't make sense for a rock waterwheel to be brown in most cases.

Unfortunately, the only one of those you can work around at the moment is the bed.  You can add a reaction that produces rock or metal beds at a smelter, though I'm pretty sure those beds would be standard quality only.

Thanks. I'm looking into making rock-and-sand beds in preparation for settling in a low-tree environment. In fact, I'm substituting in quite a bit for trees. I'm keeping the stone 'log' there for the sake of building material for things like axles and waterwheels that shouldn't be wood only, although I'll make a new reaction for beds.

You could always add a wood type along the lines of "not-wood" then add a smelter reaction that converts rocks into "not-wood logs."
