Civilizations

So I have this race of intelligent worms, but they are only usable when the dwarf code is removed.
If dwarves are there, they do not appear.
In Teldins mod, that adds orcs, you can choose your race by changing the civilization on the embark screen, but I can't with these.

I also noticed that you cannot trade with the worms.
So, how do I make the worms independent of the dwarves, and how do I allow them to trade?

I want to see worms riding up in their caravans pulled by worms and selling me vicious war worms.

War worms eh...

Hmmmmmm...  I'm reminded of something... but what?  I can't exactly... remember...

Alright, more seriously, they will show up, but making them compete with the dwarves for mountain space lessens their odds of appearance if both races are extant.  This is because, as far as I can tell, that the game considers them both the same entity when generating the world, and dwarves are limited to three nations.

So if I changed them to PLAINS_SETTLEMENTS or something they would work?
That makes sense, I think that's whatt he orcs were set to.

Do you have the [CIV_CONTROLLABLE] tag?  Otherwise it should work on at least a few generated worlds.

Yes. I do.
Hmm, more testing is required...

You see, with the orcs in Teldin's mod, six civilizations appeared instead of three, and selecting one of the bottom three swapped me to orcs.
I wonder why this hasn't happened for my worms...
Maybe if I just copied the orc code and edited it back into a worm, whatever I missed would be there. And made them forest dwellers, so that you can have orcs and worms.
