The problem I am having as of right now is a new plant that I made, I can't seem to get my dwarves to plant it and I can't understand why. I tried both indoor and outdoor farming with the seeds and neither work, even though I had the seeds with me. Here is the matgloss_plant file that I added for the plant:

Firstly, have you checked the errorlog.txt? It can often be quite helpful with things like this.

Secondly, your name field looks wrong - looking through the ones in my raws, they all take the form:
[NAME:one thing][NAME_PLURAL:many things]
Rather than the [NAME:one thing:many things] you've done there.

Otherwise, nothing looks off to me.

First off, change the name from [NAME:blooddrop orchid:blooddrop orchids] to [NAME:blooddrop orchid][NAME_PLURAL:blooddrop orchids].  Second, the grow duration and values are absolutely broken.  That plant will make you retardedly rich, really fast.  Change the grow duration to somewhere around 500.  You might also want to trim the cluster size back a bit, add a GENPOWER  (Not entirely sure what this does, but try something around 2.), and a PREFSTRING.  Something like this, I would think:  [PREFSTRING:bloody crimson hue]

Edit:  Ninja'd on the name part.

Haha yeah sorry, I forgot to put the original file and copy/pasted my modded one. The growdur and the value are set that way as a test, I wanted it to grow really quickly so I could test the brew and the drink value as well as the plant value with the first Caravan. I had planned on the value being much lower and the duration a bit longer.

I'll go in and change what was suggested and see what turns out. Be back soon ^.^

Well it worked this time. Not sure which change made it work but they planted it just fine, and brewed it without a problem.

Afaik GENPOWER is obsolete, and aint being used for anything.

Can you mod the reactions to produce an anvil? Will it freak the game out, like with organic material?

Yes you can, no it won't, and it is one of the sanest mods you could make, seeing how currently the anvil needs its own myth of creation.

Sorry for the wuikc post, but im short on time. Basically, i have created two new creatures for chaos reigns, gem men and rock men. However, when they die, rather than dropping a rock of their racegloss type, or dropping a gem statue of their racegloss type respectively, they drop objects with no type, just stones and statue.

There's no STONE_LAYER racegloss, or any racegloss other than just STONE, METAL, WOOD, or PLANT. Hardcoded. You're not the first to try gemstone golems. :)

Well bugger! ive got them dropping valuable gem statues now anyway, but they will jsut have to stay sapphire for now :P

Ill see if i can fix my rock men up though!

Ill also edit the wiki - it said that rather than jsut 4 options, it was related to the matgloss files. Bad wiki information is bad.

Simple question, I noticed Dwarves have a king or queen per civ, who will tell you where the megabeasts are, and was wondering how to make it so that the humans have a civ leader again.

They do have a civ leader, he's just a warrior.

Well, they don't have a civ leader, they just have site leaders.

To make them have a King/Queen, add in this tag to their Entity file. I think it'll do the trick:

Well, I recently created a race of jellyfish. It worked rather well, until I found out that they had no hands. I went back, added [GRASP] to some of the ends of their tentacles (ripped from SIX_TENTACLES), started the game up, and everyone had serious injuries.

What?

I know it isn't out of breath, because I added [NOBREATHE] to the creature file. Also, they're amphibious. What is going on?
