How do you use this mod?

This is how I play Dwarf Fortress!
I use pieces of it
I use it for modding examples
I don't, I was just curious

Actually, when I look at the wreckage, it looks like all of the meat spontaneously caught fire.

In other news, I found a way to rob the caravans blind.

This is the sort of thing that makes me want to throttle my screen while shouting 'Its Not A Bug. Its A Feature.'
Seriously, this is the sort of thing that needs to be studied so that it may be repeated.

Hi everybody ,

I have some trouble when i play with civ forge.

I never had a fortress more than a year or two because my party crash before. I play the latest DF version.

I have this message when DF is loading my party and then the game crash before loading.

"One of the compressed files on disk has error on it. Restore from backup if you are able."

I always have this message in all my game ! It's really annoying... what's going wrong ?

Are somebody able to help me ?

That's usually a sign that something got corrupted during transfer. Try a fresh install of Dwarf Fortress and Civilization Forge.

Is there a determinator for whether or not a given race sends a diplomat?

In vanilla DF, I have never failed to get diplomats for the humans and dwarves, unless the old one died(or, in the case of dwarves, I struck adamantine and the king arrived).

Contrast the high elves. First fort I played, they sent a diplomat with the very first caravan. I rejoiced at the thought of being able to request specific animals, and maybe get breeding pairs! That fort succumbed to ambushes, though. Bugbears I could deal with using traps; not so the chaos dwarves... Next fort, though, I never got a high elven diplomat(well, guild rep), although they sent caravans yearly.

I really haven't figured that out, although I've noticed it as well. Nothing in the mod itself should cause that, though. I had thought that perhaps it had to do with them dying during world gen, but then you'd never get a human liaison in vanilla if that was the case, so I'm really not sure.

Oh, well. Thanks for the prompt reply, anyway. :) Maybe someone else will have a notion.

Just wanted to confirm that this is definitely, definitely happening; just lost my oldest miner to it.

He got boosted up to an unused, unaccessible roof and died of thirst before I noticed it.  Not the first time I've lost a dwarf that way, but it's the first time it was anyone important.

I love this mod!

I wasn't too sure at first, so I just decided to give it a go.  The only thing I changed was the plants... I used the old gentle farming mod to give them all extra verisimilitude and make the luxury plants more of a luxury.

Anyways, this mod puts a lot more action into DF without making it one-dimensional.  I love it!

funktopus, my vamari caravans see to be randomly exploding on entering the map. Are you using d16?

I'm trying to combine the mayday and the civforge graphics packs together, at a glance it doesn't seem like there should be any issues. I've got the civforge and mayday art along with the various notepad files in the graphics part of the raw file, yet when I try to load up DF it doesn't show the graphics, The readme that came with the graphics mod is sparse, it just says to place the civforge and text files where I have them. any suggestions on how to pull this off?

are you sure you placed the text files with the other text files and places the civiforge folder containing the graphics along with it.
