Glad the platemail issue is fixed, and the dragonscale issue as well (Sick to high hell of only seeing Dragonscale this or that when the caravan comes along. Seriously, why would I need Dragonscale Instruments or crafts? ;_ ;)

It's a pity DF doesn't have a token [CRAFTS] to remove from metal. I've made it deep though, so I don't think that anyone will dare with it.

You can make a metal that you can't craft ANYTHING from, but not a metal you can only craft weapons from, forbidding the crafts. I didn't exactly test though...

The only answer that comes to mind that your civilization doesn't have an access to platemail recipe.
It happens with high boots sometimes, and when there's another type of armor like cuirass I guess it's possible for dwarves to "ignore" one of them in rare cases.

In my Middle earth I managed to find a nice body structure which makes less insta-kills from 1 bolt but introduces more organs and bodyparts along with new dismembership possibilities.

Simply it's
head
right hand - right body side - chest - left body side - left hand
abdomen
pelvis
legs

But the differentiating the right/left upper body parts between right side and left side helps to prevent one-arrow-in-all-organs greatly, also it gives an ability to chop a man in two =).

Alright, so I wanna use a mod in this but only one and not the others. I wanna use the stone axes/spears etc. mod, what files do I put in to just have this one.

Look into weapon tweaks.
All you need to do is to add [CAN_STONE] to desired weapons.

Ver. 011 is out.
I've added an Ironwood tree which grows in broadleaf forests and it can be hardened in smelter to become "hardened ironwood" (well, actually, SHARP stone which can be used to make weapons like from obsidian; as long as I have more than just a stone shortswod, you will be able to make ironwood spears, crude axes and clubs).

I'm going to add more natural creatures in the next release. Let's see if I can ask some modder with creature pack to contribute something (I'd be very glad).

This project looks great and has my full support. I hope the first thing you plan to do when Toady releases the new version is to make it compatible.

By that time I fill take my uni session so I will definitely convert the things which would be changed. The only thing that can stop me from doing so just after the release can be my trip to the wife's parents to the southern lands. But it will be short. =) You know, there's no place like home.

For sure, I'm always ready to collaborate.
For now I'm a bit passive in modding because I need to take 2 exams more but then I'll continue to work and I have a lot of spare time on workspace =).
