Another Adjuststart.exe question
« on: March 20, 2008, 01:42:00 pm »

I'm curious if anyone has been able to make adjuststart.exe work with version 27.176.38b? I've created the memory.ini file and put it in the same folder as the utility. But apparently I've either done that wrong, or the code I found in a previous post (which I can't seem to find) isn't right.

If anyone has any ideas on how I can make it work, I just want two more dwarves, the starting 7 need lemmings!

For some reason after getting the newer version 38c, the utlity still thinks its been coded for the older version.

I'm stumped.

Well, it is working fine for me... Make sure you didn't saved the files as memory.ini.txt

The file wasn't saved as Memory.ini.txt, even had a friend double check. Should I have the utility and the INI file outside the directory structure for DF?

I'm not sure how much difference that makes, but I suppose its not out of the realm of possibility.

IIRC that code only works for Reveal. The coding that the neccessary data for the other utilities was involved with was changed quite a bit recently, so it will probably require a major rewrite of the actual utilities to get them to work with the new versions.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Thanks for the heads up. Oh well, time to make one of the 7 less specialized.

for all of Rick's utils, refer to his user page for details/developments on using them with newer versions.

Also, check out the talk page for possible developments that might just need a helping hand you can provide!
