i want to say i have the resolution for the "black window problem":you just need to use 16 milion colors,otherwise when you star slaves to armok you will see all black..

That makes sense.  I wasn't sure how OpenGL handled lower color ranges, but I guess it just doesn't handle it at all.  I'll make some attempts to deal with this, but the game should probably be run at 24/32 bit color.

Well, I got it to black screen in 256 colors, but it works for 65000 colors (16 bit).  I probably won't be able to support 256 color mode since I'd have to use palettes in OpenGL and so on, but any higher number of colors should be fine as it is.
