Remember to not add immmobile land to magikarp and give it a very slow speed on land. That way he will jump up on ladn and be a target :)

I think the cartoony Pokémon universe could use the Dwarf Fortress treatment.  :D But then, I'm messed up like that.

Magikarp is the vermin version. DF carp are equivalent to Gyarados.

Magikarp on land sounds good. maybe I can use the whale's beach frequency for that so that they don't do it exclusively like lungfish do.  There already pretty slow in water too with a swim speed of 1500. But I've never so much as seen a whale so I don't know exactly how beach frequency works.

Another issue I have is vermin.  No pokemon seem to be quite small enough to qualify as vermin to me.  And likely any that do would fall into the child of some other larger evolution.  So far I've just been keeping the vanilla vermin but I can't think of what to do about that.

EDIT: Or I could make magikarp vermin fish.  That could work too.

EDIT:Recent additions; Hippowdon, Donphan, Luxray and Luxio, Electivire, Monferno(heat tail bash) and Infernape(heat punch), Slaking(slow) and Vigoroth, Camerupt(firebreath, fixedtemp)

If you're creating poison type pokemon, make sure you give those that are suppose to be steel types and those that have Immunity this tag [PARALYZEIMMUNE] (or [NOSTUN] if using a stun poison).

Maybe you could convince toady to make a... special... version with a few minor things changed for your mod.  Like, say, cages renamed Pokeballs.  I shall have pokeball traps all over the place...

I wonder if we'll see "'ere the Jigglypuffs get hungry" on the embark screen. I suppose also, in evil areas, you could run into undead pokémon, which is a very amusing thought to me.

for mega/semimega beasts, i'd suggest using Legendaries.

the primary legendaries as megabeasts, eg:

Mewtwo
Mew
Celebi
Jirachi
Groudon
and the others

and the theme legendaries as semimegabeasts:

*legendary birds
*legendary dogs
*regis
*the others

BTW you should use legendaries as MEGAbeasts and ubers as Semimega.
