flying in adventure mode

is it possible? and if so what are the controls like?

Well, if the creature you're playing as has the [FLYING] tag, you simply use the <and> buttons, or whatever else you use. It's like going up and down z levels in fortress mode, or up and down stairs in adventure mode.

If you are playing with a race with the [FLIER] token, you can fly.

Basically you just use <and> to change altitude.

I was flying over an ocean once when a shark grabbed me and pulled me into the water   :D

heh thanks, also, what effects your flying speed, is it no different than for ground movement?

It's the same as ground movement.  However back a few versions at least there could be unaccolated sections of sky that you couldn't fly through.

Don't know if it's been fixed, as my dracon lost their flier tag temporarily when I got tired of them being confused in dwarf mode.  But I haven't seen it mentioned in the devlog yet.
