Hello there.
I play Zara's salad mod and use nakar's orcs. I wish to add graphics to them.
1) I added pics to peoples.bmp from another mod.
2) I copied dwarves' text in graphic_example and named it "creature orc", after that I reassigned links to my pics... But in game they stayed as "o", while dwarves and other things are ok.
What could I do wrong?

Already solved it... But another question - how can I make my symbols for game look larger? I want like x1,5 size of current dwarf size for my dwarves =).

Decreasing your desktop resolution in windowed mode will effectively increase the size of he symbols.
