This was made by a user named "miracle gamer" on the LL forums, and the guy did a fantastic job. I just had to share it with you. For those who don't know, this is a parody of "Team Fortress 2", a very popular FPS by Valve. Specifically, it's a parody of this picture:

Man, thats great. Although some of those dwarves could use some more specific equipment then just shovels and pickaxes. Where is the booze barrel? The mechanic could keep a wrench, and the scout would totally have a crossbow.

But other then my gripes about diversity, this is really great.

Why specifically HL2, not TF2?

And really, a DF mod for anything other than the planned-for-2009 Red Faction sequel would be an insult to miners.

Speaking of which, Red Faction is the game that comes closest to being "freely mine-able", second only to Voxelstein3D, but that thing only runs in software.

Holy.  Crap.  I'd love to see something like this implemented in DF!  Maybe not until way, way down the road, but ... man, keeping both bodies AND terrain deconstructable?  That would be awesome.

A HL2 mod, since both TF2 and HL2 run on the same engine and ValVe hasn't released the TF2 modding materials, which they have for HL2.

Dammit...  The Dark Messiah material pack should've been released...   The modders could've made that game what it was meant to be.

It is too sketchy, and I am sorely disappointed with the demoman conversion; its a shovel with a large bent wooden handle and a trigger guard.

Also I have no clue what the pyro dwarf is holding...

Still, kind of funny, and the heavy is hilarious

It looks sort of like a pair of tongs holding what appears to be a glowing piece of metal. It sort of makes sense, with the anvil in front of him. There's also the pyro|flamethrower => metalsmith|hot stuff thing.

I may be showing my TF2 ignorance here, but what is the scout (right person?) holding? He's the guy with the mask/pistol. The dwarf looks to be holding a gem of some sort.

I believe the Dwarf Scout is holding a pick in the similar "batter ready" stance the Scout is.

Also, he didn't really mean for it to be that "professional", per se, but it's still hilarious. It's "fan art" for this massive bloodline game currently going on. 6 rulers down, around 9-10 more to go.

Yeah, the spy is holding a shiny rock (I assume a gem )

Also, I think I can see the "pyro" weapon. It does look like a pair of tongs holding some kind of really hot bar of metal (or something) so  think mephisto is right.
