a bug ?

I just started the adventure modus for the first time, and am on my way to the first quest

I have to kill a cyclope, who I was told is in a cave somewhere

I managed to find that cave (according to the Q -> z) but there is no cyclope in it

is this a bug, or do i have to do something ?

The cyclops is -somewhere- in there.. Finding a specific monster is just sometimes difficult to do. Have you checked every hall of every floor?

He probably was generated out of the cave. Either that or he was generated in some inaccessible part of the cave. Happened to me a few times, I fully searched the cave, but the monster just wasn't there.

It's probably not an error, the monsters move around the cave randomly, so you could just be missing it.   :(

Well, you could always just go to sleep in the general area.  That usually brings them out to see you...  :)
