Well, I only accepted this quest from a mayor because I knew it was a suicide mission. I thought it would be cool to record my party members (and myself) getting crushed by this mighty beast.

I really made this adventurer so my fortress later on could have something to engrave about.

I'll be angry if they don't engrave about this.

I find it funny that your drunks were named things like
"Meatsheild" and "The Town Boob." Is that normal?

Nope, I gave them those names.

Press L and put the cursor over them, then you can give them a nickname (changes their first name) or a profession.

I changed their professions to those titles you saw.

EDIT:Oh wow, I went on to kill some skeletons in a ruin, and I finally gained a title. The Angry Lute of Toast...   :roll:

At least it wasnt "the fiery burns of loving". It seems my hero has some sort of veneral disease...

What determines when you get a title, anyway? And what happens if you pick a title at startup? And am I mistaken, or can your allies gain titles too?

anyone can get a title...monsters by killing dwarves...dwarfs by killing lots of monsters...so on and so forth
