Kazis Asriosplek, Adventurer
« on: January 06, 2008, 05:15:00 pm »

I'm running a new sort of community game. I, Kazis Blazeshocked, have three drunks following me, so only three will get one the first time. If any die, I'll get more and other people can "sponsor" them. Give me your name and custom profession. Don't get too attached to them, they won't last long.

Drunk #1 - RustedAxe (Thrill-Seeking Youth, Jobless Youth)
Drunk #2 - Rein (Roy, Travelling Con Artist)
Drunk #3 - Torak (Torak, Crazed Psychopath)

I call the third, name him Torak.

"Crazed Psychopath."

Journal of Kazis Asriosplek, Adventurer
13th of Granite, 1050

I've done it. I've finally quit my job as town guard. I couldn't take it anymore, just wandering the town, waiting for invaders that never came. Well now I'm off for a life of adventure, treasure, and fame. I packed up what little I had and bode the mayor goodbye. Going into the wilderness alone isn't such a good idea, expert axeman or not, so I acquired some help. I asked the other guards to come with me and share in the glory, but they swiftly refused. Fine, let the fools wallow in mediocrity. No one else in the the town possessed any skill, and I couldn't lead children into battle. Then I figured that a few drunks would not likely be missed. So I strode into the pub and approached each of the three drunks loitering there. All of them eagerly accepted. Eager or not, their character is of dubious quality. I fear that I may have to sleep with one eye open...

If I'm to kill great beasts and earn the respect of all, I must have better weapons. I spoke to the mayor, and he told of an ancient ruin to the south. My band of drunkards and I have set out for this place so that we may pillage it's treasures.

After hours of uneventful travel, we've arrived at Smileinched, the ancient ruin. Let the plundering begin!

Journal of Kazis Asriosplek, Adventurer
15th of Granite, 1050

Our first attack didn't go very well. I tried to avoid the zombie swordmaster, but my drunken comrades charged at him. I thought I could at least give them some help, it was four against one and drunks are tougher then most would suppose. We won, but Roy lost a finger and Thrill-Seeking Youth got some badly cut toes. Travel heals all wounds, as the saying goes, so we decided to retreat. Torak used the iron gauntlet he had gained in the fight to beat a zombie child to death and helped me fell a skeleton. With the area secure, we left the ruins. I only noticed too late that Roy didn't follow us. I hope we can find him in time...

We were too late. He's dead...

Ummm... Ran into a bit of a snag. I got a little too attached to this drunk. Should have taken the large gems and left, but we went to find the body and avenge his death. Things went okay at first. Thrill-Seeking Youth beat up a zombie crossbowman and then we all went on a rampage. Torak ran about like the Crazed Psychopath that he was, beating the enemies with the iron gauntlet he had gotten from our first kill. All was fine until the drunks broke off to pursue some unseen foe, leaving me to fend for myself. I continued the search, confident in my own abilities. I came across a zombie swordmaster and got killed.

All four of us are listed on the Legends screen.

I earned the name "Kazis Bazeshocked the Fnacy Brain of Counseling".
Torak earned the name "'Torak' Tradedwax the Eternal Door of Papers".

Torak and The Thrill-Seeking Youth are still out there, somewhere...

I could've gotten a cooler name than The Eternal Door of Papers. Hell I would've been happy with the Eternal Door of Bleeding, or Voids, or Hammers.

RNGs are cruel.

I think torak or thrill seeking youth should take over, and see how long this lasts. Btw, go roll your eyes at Armok (again) for me.
