Clarbyville
« on: December 30, 2024, 09:02:22 pm »

Welcome to the town of Clarbyville! Its a little city in the middle of nowhere, a place where interesting things don't happen very often. UNTIL NOW!

You are... Something. You are some kind of faction perhaps? Maybe you are planning world domination with an army of robots, maybe you want to abduct people and turn them into mutants, maybe you are the leader of some kind of evil cult. Or maybe you just want to steal half the city's socks or something. There are only examples. It can also be a much better idea.

The important thing is that you have recently gained access to a dimensional portal thingy, which leads straight to Clarbyville!

Each turn, you will get a status update via PM. You will also submit all actions via pm. Aside from that, you might also get some additional intel via the news in this post.

To play, fill out the following signup sheet and send it to me via PM. Other than the fact that you are not native to the same world that Clarbyville is in, you can pretty much do whatever.

Preparing to send my signup sheet, it may take a few hours before I do but I'd like a spot, please.

Also, do we get to know anything about the expected frequency of our updates is likely to be?  Are we hoped to be keeping up and updating multiple times a day/week/month/year, is that known yet?

Huh. Usually that's something I decide right away. It will probably be better than weekly but not as good as daily?

I can probably keep up with an intention of 1 per 24 hours submit an action, more often than that, some days I can't (but some I could).  And I'm cool with less frequent, just wanna make sure my availability matches.

I expect future updates will take me less thinking than this original setup request :)

I'm in!

Omg, yay!

When its time to start things off, I'll send you a big ol' pm and make a big post in this thread. You can't miss it.

In! I'm not sure how comparable my sheet is to others. I like to try to go in a direction that other people haven't been, but there's no way to tell with this setup! :p

I guess that's part of the fun. For the GM, at least, getting to see what sorts of zany things people send in with few preconceptions~

It should be interesting to see what sorts of goals people come up with and how they might clash. Or be entirely unrelated to one another! All I know is that Imp will, once again, be Warehouse 17, because it would fit in this game.

I will say I spent about 6 hours on my character creation, and about 4.5 of it were in a flow state and I feel more relaxed than I've felt in many weeks.

Warehouse 18 or whatever it was that got wrote, I enjoyed that creative process, whew.

Also, welcome in!  So glad you're here!

PSSST you funky one... whatever your real signup sheet is... you're supposed to submit it by PM.

Apparently we may not know much about each other yet.

You send the sheet in via private message, ya silly.

Anyways, In.

I'll send my sheet in later tonight.

I edited it down from all the words I wrote.  In writing, probably 6x what I submitted.  I sent in just under 2,000 words.

Mod did say, "History: (More detail is generally better, but there's no official minimum)"

The history was over 1,000 words.
