I suck at ascii drawing, so ill just try to describe this..an "animated" eyerolling monument, built in df.

Basically, a big circle of white-stone trapdoors (i.e granite) over some black stone 1 z level down. when a trapdoor is opened, one should see black background open space. trapdoors open/shut in such a sequence that one would achive the effect of rolling eyes. this could be controlled by water flow and pressure plates. Heres an attempt at the diagram.

the pupil will consist of 9 open trapdoors at a time, meaning 8 "frames" of animation, 2 up 2 left 2 down 2 right. i havent messed around with pressure plates that much, but ive read that they are toggles, so activating them on an open "pupil" will close it, and seeing as each lever/ pad can be linked to more than one target, opening the next group of tds should also be able to close the last one yes? would there be  a way to make this self sustaining?

This epic eye rolling thread must be immortalized in a monument! preferably one with ,massive worker casualties
