Imp, I fibbed when I said it wasn't about you personally. It is, to some extent, about you personally. I really need you to claim your actions. I'm not saying any more than that, and indeed attempted to say less than that, because that's the correct play here. I'm not asking you to reveal the inner workings of your role, just claim what you did last night.

When I flip.  Consider I might be wrong about how townie EP seems.

Whatever I did.  It should not look scummy.  It should not look conflictory with any claims made.

If you have weird stuff, discuss.  I will clarify if I believe it is towny.

I have clarified what wasn't me several times.

When you reacted and fished about EJ giving me the blue vote I clarified immediately.  Townie fisher, think about what you're doing.

If you're not town, it's gonna get handled.

Fine, I'll narrow it down: How many actions did you perform last night, and who did you target with each action?

I already answered.

You may say what you believe to be true.  I will respond to your exact 'charge'.  My answer might be 'no comment'.  If you think it's townie to push this, push.  You better be right.

The more I clarify, the better scum!you is able to tailor your response to the question, and the less readable your response is, whatever your alignment. Please answer the question (if I missed where you answered the question then sorry, feel free to quote the post). If you are still unwilling to answer the question then say so and I will reluctantly narrow it further.

That is what I clearly stated.

I thought it was worth asking again having clarified why I was being vague. OK, here's a slightly narrower version: out of every player in the game, which players did you target last night?

NQT, I really think this is a townfight. I’ve been here before, but to be honest I don’t know how to resolve it. I know Imp can look incredibly unhelpful sometimes, but I really think your vote comes from a place of frustration.

I get that frustration. But I also want to win, and it’s pretty important we get the right elimination, especially if the remaining scum have extra killing power like Juicebox did. I care more about the interpersonal resolution to this than I do Imp’s secret or EP’s results. Because they probably won’t win or lose us the game, and a dumb townfight will.

Try to look at it this way - every player has limitations. Refusing to give up on mechanical power in situations like this one is one of Imp’s. Just like Tric claiming their role too freely as town, or web having a meltdown when Toony doesn’t agree with him.

I see no town advantage in answering that.

Okay, well, you don't know what I did last night. I do know what I did last night, and as a result I see significant town advantage in you answering that. Will you answer it? If not, I will proceed to the most specific possible version of the question, which isn't nearly as helpful.

You either got accurate info about what I did, or not.

I know what I actually did.  I don't know what info you got.

I see advantage to scum in me saying what I actually did/scum knowing what I did/who I targeted/if I acted/if I was able to act.

If you say something I didn't do 'that matters' I will clarify clearly.

For example if you say you tracked me to a corpse last night.  I will emphasize that I did not target a corpse last night.  And that you may have real results but you did not actually have me as your target.  And that I have nothing that explains it - I didn't redirect you.  I don't have an 'illusion of targeting a corpse' mech that you would have triggered.  So there is a puzzle to solve but I am not the solution.

There is a chance I will 'no comment'.  That chance is higher if I see no town advantage in clarifying something incorrect.

What you aren't acknowledging is that I don't consider you above suspicion and that means I want you to claim before I give you all the information.

Last night, did you target TricMagic, yourself, both, or neither? I really must insist you answer this version.

I confirm I did not target Tricmagic and could not possibly have been forced to.

OK, noted. Did you target yourself? I need to know. This is non-negotiable.

... that's using my own mech.  Something like Heist where a maf uses me/another player for a kill, I have nothing preventing that.  But what I did could not have been redirected 'to Tric'.

That's fine, and I'm not asking what you did. But I really need to know, did you or did you not target yourself?
