Fallacy
Elephant Parade: are you a mason?
What was this about??

Also, you could have hammered Juicebox but chose to build a second wagon on EP, perhaps in the hope NJW or Hyper would swap over. Why was a possible EP elimination worth more to you than a certain Juicebox elimination?

I'm interested in the raw inaccuracy of your stance.  And what that may mean about you.

You list 12, the last contains 2 more.  My overall response is "Whose role am I fishing?"

#1 is about my role.
2 is about game mechanics and does not focus on any player; it also reveals more about me.
3 is about claims players made and asks nothing
4 is about claims players made and asks nothing
5 is about ... you attribute to me but pulled from my quote of NJW2000.  quoting is rolefishing since when?  He said that.
6 is not rolefishing
7 is not rolefishing
8 is not rolefishing
9 is an observation and a concern about what others have stated.
10 is a reaction to what CM claimed and is a request for more info if CM chose to give it.
11 is about my role.
12 is about my read of the game.
13 is about my role/info.
14 is about my read/role/info.

Vote harder to shut me up and you need help.

You're really off.  Good luck fixing yourself.

I look forward to the rest of your reads and play.

For now I leave my blue where it is.  Like my red, I'm not ready to use it - except as a demo.

I still want to hear from people talking about all the stuff they talk about - eyes NQT probably so I can keep this one thinking I'm rolefishing.

Man.  We have many people not spoken yet D2.  I'm rolefishing for their posts whenever they get made so...

and not ready to red-vote yet.  And... the mod flavor wants us to play a board game.

Sure.  I'll pretend to play this as my board game.  It'll surely get me far way from this mucky-muck.

To be completely honest...

I didn't bother to try and figure out what the votecount was at that time.

My "vaguely scummy" read on EP was more negative than my "literally nobody" read on Juicebox.

I just felt NJW and EP were interacting weirdly, and them being masons would be an explanation that wasn't them being a scumteam.

Claim: I targeted notquitethere in a mostly benign way. I'm not sure if NQT can technically confirm this or not.

I don't trust Fallacy here.

Sure.

My eval: he's honestly, earnestly, and sincerely moving towards a town win, flavored by his role and other info he has, in his own playing style.  I don't see/feel a single thing that doesn't fit within that.

That's perfectly generic, and therefore perfectly unconvincing. Anyone could try to claim this about anyone at any time.

You're hilarious.

Here's you to my view:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOzab20y1GI

Your case on why NJW is townie is worse; your case for why Juice is town (and wow you must think that player is down.  You could have ensured he was elim - wasn't just FoU who said 'nah, Juice can live') is even worse than your NJW town-case.

Despite my vote, I'm not ready for the day to end.  Nor do I particularly want anything from it except the flip it likely leads to.

NJW, it's not over, if you're town just play to your wincon and hopefully most of us will see/feel/get it and you'll be fine.

Right now I'd entirely accept an EP elim or a juice elim; juice is purely carry-over from D1.

But I do want more talking and stuff.  But clearly it's time, so I oblige.

Bleep.

EP.

In case you're town.  I think we all get it, you think I'm as scum as the day is long (dang we got long days this game, which in general I like).

I think you've put more energy in your day game into pushing me as scum than everything you've done besides that.

I recommend you put some energy into other stuff.  Because if you're town, I can totally tolerate you.  But it would be awesome if your day game was useful.

Finishes Wonderboy-related board game  Ahh. Away from the mucky-muck.  Except...

It's now just under 24 hours until EOD.

FallacyOfUrist, CrystalizedMire, Hyper, NJW2000, juicebox — you can't all be scum, but chances are ~2 scum players are among you as mafia are usually the most passive voters.

This is the current vote spread:

Quote
Unofficial Vote Count - Day One

Imp (1) - Elephant Parade
NJW2000 (1) - Imp
Hyper (1) - Euchrejack
juicebox (1) - VermillionSkies

Not Voting (5) - FallacyOfUrist, CrystalizedMire, Hyper, NJW2000, juicebox

With 9 votes in play, 5 are required to lynch or 5 to no-lynch.

What do we know about a vote spread like this? Oh yeah, it never catches scum. Scum have to be all be asleep for this to do anything to hurt them. We need wagons people! I need each of you five players to use your vote to do one of following today:

1. Push for the elimination of a player you have sincere reason to want to eliminate

OR

2. Join the auction so that we can get the inspect from the Sheriff's Office and make D2 a lot spicier. This will help give town a bit more control over the night game even if scum get hold of the power. Think about it.

If any of you fail to use your vote, I'll personally come around your house and beat you over the head with a keyboard be disappointed AND suspicious.

Whines

NQT, you gonna follow up on this at some point?  Or at least discuss how you feel about the REST of the voters EoD1?

You... make this great show of poke FoU.

So silent about the rest.

Didn't have enough time, right?

I mean, you're not happy with NJW's 'waste of vote'?  Just, didn't get around to expressing that disappointment and suspicion yet, right?

That's fine.  I guess.  Vent your way there or whatever.

looks around.  Frowns at Elephant Parade

You're still on my mind too.

My next venting board game I'll play in Mater's honor is helping me deal with your possible view of me.

This 'game'!  You're Lex in it.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbLCZMrs_4M

To be fair easier to think Elephant was scum and hope for a vote change. Even Elephant could have self-hammered to remove this doubt that will plague the entirety of day 2. Whoever got that option from them do not use it. Yesterday should have ended in an Elephant Lynch.

... Someone was saying that completing the auction would be bad cause it gives someone a power. Was it Elephant?
I think Fallacy said that the acution was scummy because it takes votes away but no, I don't think Elephant parade said it.
Okay!
Tric protected EJ, right?
The people who could've targeted EJ last night (assuming no Location manipulation) aaaare:
CM
EP
Hyper/Salvadore
NQT

Last night, I set up some stuff for myself that'll let me do doctoring easier.

The person who benefitted from the auction being used was CM.
I targeted myself last night.
Last part is true.
Crystal, are you pleased with the outcome of D1? Is that it for auctions?
If you're specifically asking about the auction then I'll say its a success.
That's the last you'll see of auctions.

So I'm pretty sure Crystal's role is Betrayal At House On The Hill, specifically due to each of the auctioned abilities being rooms, taking a room being a willful action and choice - as in exploration - possessing a mixture of positive and negative effects - and granting a kill as the final result of exploring the rooms.

Thinking about it more, it may be one of those townie-roles-that-look-intentionally-scummy. Wouldn't be the first time I've seen one of those.

We've seen a flip that could steal if they know.

4x (Genre)
It's time to build a civilization. Let's research some tech, colonize some places, and do some things that start with E and definitely not X.
Each night, you may target a player. The first time this ability resolves for you, you will learn their role name. The second time it resolves for you, you will give that player this General Ability. The third time it resolves for you, choose an ability name; if your target possesses that Personal Ability, you will steal it. The fourth time it resolves for you, that player will die.

It's cool to share spec and info that we're sure is pro-town or helps town.

I dunno if I wanna beat you up for being Clark Kent-like from Supernormal (it hurt a townie... you and all of the pro-townies who lost you :( )

I don't know that what you said helps town.

I guess if it's wrong it doesn't hurt town.

I get if you think Crystalizedmire is maf and you want us all to know so we can help the fight however we can if you don't nail the elim.

But that doesn't sound your goal.

What's your expectation of how we would use that info in this post, and why'd you share the speculation?

The lyrics of 'punch face' from that personal supervillian song are playing through Imp's mind, but her hands are not twitching.  Yet.

Hi.   :D

I read the game thread before agreeing to sub in. There are certainly players I think are more likely to be town and players I trust less. I'll venture to say that I believe notquitethere, NJW2000, Elephant Parade, and TricMagic are probably acting like town to various degrees. FallacyofUrist and CrystalizedMire don't sit right with me. VermilionSkies feels off too. The rest I would have to group as null.

I don't really consider anything that happened d1 to be much of a tell, especially around the auction. I'm taking most of that as null for now.

Thank you so much!

I am very interested in your reasons for picking the players that seem town or scum to you - what do you notice?

You're fresh eyes in our game, and anyone who subs in may see stuff that the rest of us are blind to because we had an in-game perspective from the start.

But it sounds like you picked out some meaningful stuff about most of the players in the game!

Tell us what guided your reads?

If you want help with forum mechanics, like if there's easy ways to quote or whatever, please do ask; remember you can also directly message the mod for any questions about anything, so there's all ways you can get the help you want if you don't wanna ask publicly.

I'd be glad for copy/pasted something like 'VermillionSkies said "quotes like this" and that feels off because..." or even something like "notquite there in reply #224 said "this" and that's probably town because..." or whatever.  Picking your brain, no matter your forum skillz, just wanna read your reads better :)

Or whatever else you can explain to help guide us to understand, ooh and yay!
