Extinct dwarven civ
« on: November 25, 2024, 01:12:21 am »

Hello, I wanted to have some challenge of reviving dead dwarf civ. So I generated map with and chose civ: 0 sites, population 3.
It was expected to have first two migrant waves as they are hard coded, but I didn't expect to get my site population to 52 only by migrants.
Where did all this migrants come?

Ok, I read wiki and looks like dwarven civ to extinct you need to have 0 sites AND 0 population.
Does anyone know what settings to use to generate such a world: no dwarves, but other civs?
I've tried some settings, but it is either only goblin civ or dwarven civ not extinct.
I do want to have experience with rebuilding dwarven civ from nowhere =) but I also want to trade with humans.

If you turn Megabeasts caves and Titans number up really high they will usually kill all the civilizations off and never leave the Age of Myth. You can tell when this happens because worldgen will go really fast.

Long world gens have a decent chance of having the civilizations wiped out by necromancers who snowballed or unbeatable goblin rulers where only goblin sites exist.
