Fou, your hats can even be excellent targets for a different ability.

I can use pages like that.  I won't, don't see any advantage.  But I could target pages themselves, and we saw similar last cyos where items with various tags or items period could be involved in weird ways.  Your protests about how hats are nothing doesn't mean much to me because they can be fodder for other targeting or even weirder stuff.

As I said Egan, die again. Day 1 and Night 1 I can't target people or get buff. Day 2 I get hit with the inability to revive, so still can't get buff. How do I get gains if I can't live? You know what you hit me with. Hector hit me with infection, you hit me with your nonsense. The latter is on you.
Silly Tric, you can revive, it'll just make you win. Which is strictly better than not winning.

Huh.  Egan, I wonder if you will choose to hit me with whatever, whenever I go ghost.  I have no idea what it is or if it might help me, or anyone else.  As Tric accused earlier, I am indeed grasping at straws.  Towny straws, but dang it someone's probably my key in lock... And I could have several... and maybe that's it.

Who do you think the ghostmaker is, Toony?
I've been thinking about this game all day at work.

Here's my theory: Hector is the ghostmaker and scum with FoU and either Jack or Elephant, probably Jack.

FoU has "hats" and "trade" spheres, but not "second wincon" it's actually "mimic" which isn't an unreasonable path.

Somebody tried to steal from me on N1 which has not be claimed, this has to be from mafia but I'm not sure who, it implies the "thief" sphere.

FoU's partner is the infector and they probably have a "kill" sphere. Hector is covering for them by claiming the actions, hence their weird play of keeping quiet until D2 about it. None of it feels natural or independent from Hector. Vermilion's body is missing because of Hector, who needs to consume a body each night as a ghost or else the effect goes away. I feel like Jack is more likely to be infector than Elephant here.

FoU (or possibly Jack) killed Jim on D2 by doubling the exhausted they afflicted him with on N1.

Imp is innocent town dying to infect. Crystal is innocent town dying to infect. Max is probably innocent. Elephant is maybe innocent. Jack is possibly innocent. FoU is most likely not innocent.

I'm voting FoU here. I think they're most likely scum, although Jack is suspicious too. Max has convinced me more that Jack is the Jim killer, not FoU, but I still like FoU less and they would be with Jack/Hector in this scenario.

I'm probably dumb or wrong somewhere here, but I think this is a rough picture of what exactly has been happening.

I don't want FoU stealing my cool stuff like my scanner so I will propose an offer in case that happens:

Who are they? In order of likelihood, ToonyMan, Maximum Spin, Imp, Crystalizedmire, Elephant Parade.

I'll dig into Toony's fixation on me if I need to, but any direct argument between me and ToonyMan inevitably descends into a huge mess. I tried to prod him to consider other options, but he doesn't seem particularly willing.

It's unreasonable for the ghostmaker to be a ghost. That'd be like allowing the Endless Witch to act while dead, without a flip. (See: Bellsounder.) The ghostmaker has to be alive so there's a weak point to this predicament.

So we should be voting people who could reasonably be the ghostmaker. Which doesn't include me.

Unless you think Jim is scum and going along with the hat thing to hide my true power, but A, I have more hats to give out, and B, Toony thinks Jim is town.

I do not have a second wincon at this time.  I would like one, and don't care how that sounds.  I'm still as towny-hearted as I was as a survivor in Max's Supernatural.

Also, I'm literally designed to be changed.  Maybe the change I need is death, or a second wincon.  Since I have no idea, this role is literally made for grasping at straws at this point.

Nothing in the condition says autos stop working, though as ever there could be exceptions.

Honestly late in the game for that. I could have supercharged you day 1 if you asked and promised not to go mad with power.

Of note my auto is still active. Not that it matters cause it's not like I can die again. Egan saw to that.

How should I have asked?

How I did ask D1:

Reminder I would likely benefit from being changed, should that mean anything to anyone and you think you would choose to.  There's a large number of changes that might help me.

I guess it could also mess me up.  But that seems to me low probability.

I'm possibly going to have to play this awesome Spheres game more like it's a normal mafia game instead of as a super powered freakazoid who is coincidentally also playing to win a mafia game.  Or maybe someone changes me helpfully, should anyone can and choose, or maybe oops into doing so.  Buffing up, unsure that's the sorta change I need.

I didn't and still don't know if that's the change or one of the changes I need.  It could be.

I promise to try to win the game for town with everything I do, to me that's not going mad with power.
