... I did not read that status entirely. Ghosts can't be infected. Jury's still out on if I'd carry the infection into death though.

The best move might be to just see which ghost is trustworthy, get lynched and hope to turn into a ghost, and then I can use my action normally. Assuming ghosts can't die of overwork anyway.

Ninja Imp. Again. As I did not target you, no infection occurred. NQT said they'd be going to bed, so any answers to my questions will have to wait for tomorrow.

Yeah, exactly.

One of my abilities allows me to make random-item trades. I can request a random item in trade from someone else, or even trade a random item I possess to someone else, or even trade a random item I possess for a random item someone else possesses!

It's lots of fun.

I'm totally cool with the random trade, for now.  I will probably select what to give if you stick with me, no idea if yours trumps or if you'd switch to the matched trade.

I'm interested in tracking items, kinda like my last CYOS warehouse role, but there's loads of differences this game, of course.

I am likely to generate item(s) in my own inventory, perhaps elsewhere, and I have a way to force anyone targeting me to steal a random item from me as well as their regular action, though I might do other things.

Well, it wouldn't be Warehouse 13 without anomalous items getting everywhere and causing problems. This is not a surprise.

I guess it's very on-theme to make that public information, though I'm not sure if it was a good idea.

Yeah.  It's weird that I'd have an ability to force someone to steal random items of mine when they target me.  Not sure it's a good idea to share that info either.  We'll see :).

Hugely appreciated, Jack.  I love knowing where they are and I'm not interested in taking it or messing with whatever you do with it, at this time and maybe never.  I'm totally cool with whatever happens to them, including someone like Jim destroying them (but they have potential uses; destroying them may not be their ideal use), and maybe we can make some better things happen down the road with careful handling.

I don't care about the ghosts, they can't vote/be voted and they can't mafiakill according to the condition.
In addition, the fact that ghost players can just "ignore the thread and not post if they want to" with the mod's permission implies to me that they are low impact. Most likely here to be a nuisance and confuse.
I think that may be a consequence if my reticence to play in the first place.

Ghosts can use and be targeted by actions though, essentially taking away the power of the mafia to eliminate players with a kill.

This argument could go both ways I think: mafia-aligned ghosts could assist mafia the same way town-aligned ghosts could assist town. Although I believe you're being genuine about the "reticence" part.



I would speculate that one of our two ghosts is nontown but that's pure mechanics gut.
This was also my gut reaction. I think one is probably mafia at most, and if true I think it's more likely to be Hector now actually after Egan has been more forthcoming, like here:
I actually had a passive to be able to act on night 0, and it was explicitly to give me more time to do things before being dead. Since as a ghost I am able to act, it implies that dead players being ghosts wasn't the only possible outcome of night 0, otherwise NQT would not have needed to give me that extra action.
This feels odd to me to say if they were mafia.

I'm okay with ghost discussion as a replacement to RVS, but I don't want only mechanic speculation as a cop out to scumhunting, if you get my drift.



Maybe we even have a Ghostbusters in play, or could get one if we think we need it.

But since we can target ghosts, surely they can be interfered with in various ways if needed or wanted, if any such abilities exist.
I have reason to believe that ghosts can be specifically interacted with over non-ghosts, it's not related to Ghostbusters though.

I also have a playing card, shockingly. I assume someone probably wants to make a good poker hand or something. I could see that as a clever role idea to tie stronger abilities to like, stronger hands such as one pair vs full house, or maybe it's completely different, I don't know.



My current thoughts on the matter:

Likely Town
Tric - screwed themselves over to not be in Imp chat hell, is sad that their role sucks and they're gonna die, is literally asking to be lynched as a possible D1 option since they're going to die anyway, not sure how they could be mafia here

Probably Town
Imp - I believe them when they say they're not in any private chats now, I'm just imagining them in a chat alone waiting for Tric to show up, bombarding NQT with one thousand questions before Tric goes "nope lol" which ends up wasting Imp's time completely as NQT gives a giant sigh of relief, or maybe NQT is frustrated he made such a complicated private chat only for it to be immediately voided, who knows
Jack - voting and getting shit done
Jim - I want to believe

Unclear
Elephant Parade - I don't know, made a joke about missing being in private chats and also being masons with Jim
VermilionSkies - don't know
Crystalmire - don't know
Max - is not here yet, a ghost even, probably mafia with FoU again

Actual Ghosts
Egan - feels more town now that they've stopped goofing off
Hector - initial impression was better, but I'm not sure

Not Town
FoU - mafia until proven otherwise

If I wasn't voting FoU I would most likely be voting Max, with Elephant Parade/Vermilion/Crystal as a third in that order.

None of these players have voted yet I believe, unlike Chad Tric and Jack.

I am in fact not mafia. I am town. This kind of annoys me, because I wanted redemption after the last one, but whatever. It's fine.

I started with zero or more items.

I got a new ability N0 and I'm going to do something really unpleasant to it if I don't hear who put it there and why.

I concur re: hector13 being the scummier of the two ghosts. I don't like how he didn't reply to my contrary response here, though he might just not have had anything to say.

Otherwise I haven't been putting as much effort into the game as usual so my reads don't really exist yet. I'll go over the thread tomorrow.
