I'm practicing throwing and after I pick up like 30-60 stones my speed INCREASES. Why?!

Every skill, including throwing, increases all three of your basic stats: strength, agility, and toughness. Your agility is going up, so you're moving faster.

No, I meant my speed increases not while i'm throwing. I already figured it out - I was tired and some time later this disappeared so my speed increased...
By the way what is GCS base speed?

And why on hell the thrown live beetles are way much better than a usual spear in the head?!

Welcome to Dwarf Fortress, where projectile puke is deadly.

The GCS base speed is 1000, the same as an unskilled human, but that doesn't matter. You can't run if your webbed.

If you're tired, stunned, or maybe if nauseated, your speed decreases. Once the effect is lifted, the speed returns to normal.
