Been seeing these quite a lot this week.

I got a 504 earlier (much earlier, now) when posting. Having lost the prior attempt to post (checked back two or three hours later and it wouldn't resubmit my older post on the subject) I'd made sure I had a copy of the thing that I rather wanted to not forget about posting. Surprisingly, when I got the chance to paste it in the (second) 'failed' post had a tually posted... (Something the one before did not. Something the failure that came soon after did not.)

Diagnostically, that must have been a server-side "start of the hiccough" coinciding with this post, going wrong in the very moment the usual after-posting page was being composited, maybe.

(Yesterday was quite bad for 504s. Or at least it recurred at the same times as my infrequent attempts to connect, when I was waiting maybe an hour or so after hitting a 'wall'. Maybe just bad timing on my part, 'stepping on all the cracks in the pavement .)

For my time zone, the errors have been consistently during my evenings, for the last few days and for about 2-4 hours (not constant retrying, but every time I check I time out.

I couldn't log on for almost two hours because of the 504s today, seems like they might be getting worse.

EDIT: I've been trying to post something sense three and I was just now able to do it, the 504s are definitely getting worse.

Getting the 504 error constantly now, can barely load the forums.

It's been pretty much most of the day 504s until now in my time zone.

Ok now it's happening to me too. Not a 504 error admittedly. The site just...refuses to load for hours on end.

Oddly enough, the errors haven't been happening for me this time. I don't know what that implies.

Definitely seeing some 504s here on the 22 of december.
The whole forum has been giving me intermittent problems recently.
I had three windows all paged in at the same time, and they all hit 504 eventually.

but other times like now, I guess it seems to work.

Yeah I've had a fairly smooth stretch since my above post, although I still get errors every now and again.

22nd and 23rd, when I come back to this website to read/post about smallhands, been fighting a ton of 504.

Over an hour today on 23rd it was down.

You don't think there's some big company scraping the site again? maybe they found a way around the ip ban. Maybe they're training an ai on bay12.

Related to one of my theories. I nearly mentioned[1] that the pattern (at/just before midnight UTC going funny), definitely sounds a bit scheduled. There are other times, including the spate that crossed 12:00 UTC today, but Firday/Saturdy, Saturday/Sunday and Sunday/was-Today it definitely popped up.

Posting this just after midnight. As a self-disproving example. (Of course, if it's +/- some minutes, as might also be true, then still open.)

edit2: Welll....  It went down about 00:10UTC, for between half an an hour and an hour. Shorter than prior nights. Or not yet 'free of interference' but I'm currently being lucky. Anyway, goodnight all.

It's been much better for me, except for the 22nd, as mentioned above.
