After killing a Zombie Human Swordmaster for a quest, I took his sword and checked it. The sword had pictures of the zombie human when he was a human engraved on it!

I also find elk antlers in the desert sometimes.

Yeah, weird things turn up in adventure mode...Once found a store full of items with pictures of my adventurers. I bought the lot of it. Also, If you play as certain creatures, you can get stuff like

Vomitous Blood
Blood and Vomit Mixture
Ichorous Blood

on your clothes.

The ichor/blood combination is the best, as it really brings out the red in the blood.  I should know, I once had a fortress welcome mat that was a pool of blood and ichor (this was before the blood/mud tracking fix).

Pity you can't drink the stuff.

In the old versions I modded in a halfling race, one quest I got in a town was to kill a undead halfling living in the ruin right next to the town. The halfling zombies there had alot of things engraved with pics of humans fighting with halflings. I like to think of it as the humans slaughtered the halflings and took their home and now the undead are after revenge.

ADDITION: I just bought a Bismuth longsword.  Nice, a pink, brittle, radioactive sword that menaces with wooden spikes.

A quick end to a lengthy encounter:

The obstacle in question was a tree.
I know you can't throw live creatures like that, but here there was a bug, the harpy passed out (I slashed out both her eyes), but I threw her before she fell over. This happened once more, to another harpy. She flew quite a distance (aerodynamic profile?) and landed in a murky pool. I tried to throw her out of there, but either she passed out too quickly, or my upgrading to Extremely Agile broke the bug - I couldn't do it to any creature since.
I did have some fun with them (harpies) charging me from above, missing, smashing into the ground and breaking bones though.

I found a rather humorous occurrence on my latest anti-goblin rampage (which is still ongoing). After going across a mountain range speckled with goblin fortresses and clearing them two of them, at the third I came across this shield:

It just so happened that I was currently playing the hero described in the exceptionally designed image of donkey leather.

I find that some of the more interesting finds are..."exotic animals."

I enocuntered a nightwing.
The nightwing felt no pain.
The nightwing felt no fear.
The nightwing did not breathe.
The nightwings main attack was bite.

The nightwing spits out the dunks left lower arm.
The nightwing latches on to your throat!
You feel your blood being sucked out through the wound!

Moral of the story:
Stay the fuck away from haunted desserts.
