Can tame experiments be stolen from towers?

I found some <tame> spider-like experiments that were made from horses at a tower in adv mode that i could lead, but not adopt or ride.
 If i raid or pillage the tower and have livestock stealing enabled, would my dwarves be able bring the spiders to my fortress as pets?
