K. Who here hit me with a Roleblock? That was rude and you should feel bad, I was ATTEMPTING to kill Imp.

The roleblock must've acted like some sort of jail as I couldn't target Tricmagic last night with my non-threatening action.

NJW sussed me.  I sussed him, was why I followed him.

NJW redirected someone to someone else.  He sussed me, I think he redirected me, or someone to me.

I saw the ability name and text that I see in NJW's flip.

Either I was redirected to someone who used the same ability that NJW has, and I have no idea if that's possible -

Or I think NJW redirected someone to me.

Jack claimed he'd inherit from the first town that died.  I think NJW might want to be sure Jack checked me for a kill.  I'm not sure who else NJW might want to use his 1-shot redirect on last night, but that is what he did.

I wonder if Jack maybe gets a 1-shot from any town who dies, or if he lies entire because I agree, a person who can't do anything until a townie dies and then gets a 1-use of the towny's ability only doesn't sound balanced, doesn't look balanced against the flips I see or the role I have.

It's also an easy lie, to say who didn't kill, especially if it's a partner.

I don't know what to think.  Jack, presuming you're honest, and maybe you are or they are townie lies.

Do you have any reason to think you for sure targeted Verm last night?  I have the text of NJW's ability + his flip has the same ability to make me think I wasn't redirected, so I really think you were redirected to me - what else would NJW do with redirection?

As I said when I voted starver:

Consolidating yeah but I think this is town Verm or he learned a lot from last game's snipe, and I think town Verm more likely.

I don't know what to think about CM, CM's foxed me as anti-town, good player there.  Play is good enough for another day, and I need to consolidate off her.

Jack flipped off of NJW, nobody else agrees on him.  I am concerned about NJW, still low confidence okay with Jack.

Hyper looks newbie and feels likely town.

I'm more sus of Tric than I was.  Tric doesn't seem to be playing, just parroting and tunneling.  Tired or dodging or what I don't know, this isn't a Tric I know.

NQT seems better than had earlier, good to watch but this could be fine.

The way Starver's playing, I can't imagine him being in the final rounds, can't even reason with that playstyle even if he is town.  Everything fluff so far, a hint at trying not to look townie, but what I've seen so far, this can die.  Between Starver and Tric, this.

Who'd I forget?  Max.  That sucks.  Well, it's Max.  Null still, thanks for a flavor of Max I don't hate.

I get that ties are no elim, and we have time, about 2 hours to EoD and FoU saying if 504s are an issue more time.  I'd consolidate to Tric, but Starver seems more off than Tric, Tric could be in his town range but I don't know how to work with Starver's playstyle and this could be anti-town.

You sound confused, counterwagon to verm wagon yet worried scum hammer verm.  That's fine, I don't know what's going on either.  But I voted Starver over Tric because I sussed how Starver was posting more.

Now we have Tric claiming to be miller, and Tric claiming to have a kill, which is weird as anything.  We have the dead NJW.  We have good evidence that Tric was blocked, so maybe he's totally honest or maybe he's maf who didn't try to kill, and thinks the 'I tried to kill Imp' is a good claim since he couldn't do anything.  I don't know.  It does not make sense to me that NJW would redirect Tric to himself after the D1 we had, plus the double claim that Tric was blocked/jailed.

I want to hear more from Verm, I want to hear the rest of the claims and what people say, and see what we all can figure out.

Maybe claims someone protects and 'blocked the maf kill' - maybe Jack reveals he's gotten a 1 shot protect from dead NJW and protected... whomever he claims.

My only facts are I know whoever I followed used an ability with the name redirect and the description text matching NJW's flipped redirect ability.

I may have been redirected to follow someone else - if so, they also used redirect.  I think that's super unlikely.

Given NJW's strong sus of me, I think he likely redirected either me (seems not possible given my results) or someone onto me.  I'm not sure why he would use his 1-shot redirect N1 to do anything else.  He could have done anything, but why?  He's a decent or good player.  Everything other than "I targeted NJW to follow" and "I got the result redirect that description-matches NJW's flip today" is me trying to figure out what happened.  My results said, I paraphrase, 'seems to be redirecting someone.'

Well, I at least probably won't be voting for you.  Like, I know you didn't kill anyone, so I'd much rather kill someone that might have done the kill.

IF Tric is telling the truth about being blocked AND
IF I am telling the truth that Verm did NOT do the kill
THEN Tric & Verm could not be a two person scum team, as nobody was able to do the kill that we saw occur.

Option 1: I still have my shot cause I got roleblocked.
Option 2: Vermillion was the one being voted yesterday before they got saved. I would have voted them if I didn't miss the end of the day.
Option 3: No Reason. Really not coming in with 3s today for reasoning.

Jack, that's called a Universal Backup. Which would mean you're a modified universal backup. Given the abilities shown so far, I'm inclined to disbelieve you entirely. A 1-shot version doesn't make any sense given my ability is a kill.

... Revealing yourself as a backup detective is another thing entirely, since that brings to mind that a backup doctor also exists in this game. Who would have to claim to lend credence to your theory.

Hm, close but not quite.

I have a backup investigative ability.  When someone with an investigative ability dies (watch, track, etc), I get a 1-shot version of their ability.

Now, another backup could be a bit broader than "backup doctor", it would likely be a "backup blocker", and cover blocking various actions, such as jailkeeper, roleblocker, or doctor (kill blocker).

There might even be a third backup for the active abilities, such as redirects and kills.  But that sounds like an overabundance of redundancy with a shortage of actual function.  Still, remember that Mostly Vanilla Mafia is a low power game.

Theories for how Tric got blocked:
1. Mafia has a roleblocker.
2. Town has another roleblocker.
3. My action was used by someone else on Tric.
4. My action was copied, and then used on Tric.

I don't think 3 is likely, because I still have both of my shots as far as I'm aware.
2 seems unlikely, but they do seem have separate mechanics from me, as CM had their action cancelled by it.
1 or 4 seems most likely from what I've seen of the game's setup, but I'm leaning towards 1.
