((Damn.  Did I get the good ending.))
((More or less! I mean, you got there by having terrible rolls, but what do those silly dice know about what's good or bad, anyways?))

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I am too disoriented to lead, and will only lead them to disaster or back home. Let the ranger, who better knows the land, lead to the castle instead, he suffers no penalty as only I was attacked. He was brought along afterall, and can serve exceptionally as a backup.
Dodge the monkey
Have my non dizzy soldiers carry me around.
Have my non Dizzy Soldiers attack the enemy. Once again, the power of hiring people prevails!

I hope that works. Gets some use out of the ranger I hired too, since he can lead while im disoriented.
1: Scout [1] Hang on, let me mulligan that [4] okay that's better. Your scout leads you in a direction that is clearly away from the Evil Citadel, but you're being carried and don't care that much. Emerging from the dense overgrowth, you enter Empty Plains. There's grass, and flat ground, and... not much else.
Encounter rate ?/6: Nothing happens.
The monkey doesn't seem to be following you any more.

I'm ready for another go.

John gives the group his money, telling them to continue the trek and establish the portal. His time is up, but their job must continue
He then writes the wizard a letter to send to the baron the job is done once he heads back after submitting the portal, and for him to send his best to fight soon.
Then…he walks away, heading far from his group.
Watching the stars, his final day is one of rest.

Damn, forgot the actions.

Go forth and find a weapon and armour.
Find companions to join my mission.
Find a map that tells me where the evil citadel is.
Ask a god for protection from evil.

Wizard [3] The wizard inscribes some runes in the Barren Wastes. He thinks they're pretty cool, huh?
Soldiers [3] The mercenaries fight valiantly against the skeletal hordes, which is to say they fight for a bit and then leave, because they already have all the money they're getting out of this job, so eff it. They leave the wizard behind, who is seen being carried off by some skeletons. He seems fine with this situation, for some strange wizard reason.
0 days left.
John wandered off into the wilds to die. He could barely take a few steps before entering the Light Kingdom. Oh, come on! Can't a guy die in the wilderness in peace? A deep shadow passed over him, and then a skeletal dragon annihilated him with fire breath, before continuing to destroy some buildings in the kingdom.

You have [5+2] days to live.
1: Adventure [4] You enter a cave. An old man tells you that it's dangerous to go alone and hands you a wooden sword. Well, it's better than nothing!
2: Social [6] A tall guy whose face you can't see starts following you.
3: Adventure [3] You find an old stone tablet in the grass! The map doesn't seem that well made, but it implies that there's another, longer route to the Evil Citadel which doesn't pass through Chaos Wilds... It seems it passes through six regions, each representing one of the elements.
4: Social [4] You pray to the Light King. He shrugs and tosses you a Light Shield. It doesn't seem to be very heavy!

Follow the map to the evil citadel.
Talk to the guy and see if I can't find out anything about him.
If we encounter anyone on our journey try to convince them to join us.
Be ready to defend myself if needed.

Miaah. Do you think it's okay to cancel the game if I'm only having one or two players per turn? I think I've learned from this, but it's starting to feel more samey, and I expected players to try to interact with one another more, which might contribute to the fact that only one person made it inside the dungeon yet. This design might need some adjustment, or at least clearer rules.

I mean I ran a game that had no players for a few turns.

One of the main reasons I didn't interact with other players is because of our limited amount of actions we got with each character and didn't want to waste them,

Same honestly, though my plan was to interact with others once I set up that portal so I could have actions to waste
