"Alright. Lilinoe, I give you permission to... converse with the human corpse. Keep it a conversation only." Rihart strains himself to stop a fit of coughing, then leans into the chair.

"Is there anything else?" Both Meinhart and Markus glance at each other, but say nothing.

"I do apologize for lacking knowledge about the wyvern's decorations. I do have a small amount of knowledge of Elves however, even if it's mostly with folklore and stories."

[Haspen]

"Go on, I never heard of them."

[Solymr]

Markus' eyebrows threatened to launch into space at the mention of elves.

: Maybe we should start considering a library soon, preferably before the magical monster mysteries begin piling up.

"Naturally my Lord. Have you ever heard of the tale of the Forest Princess? A beautiful maiden like the rest of her race, and much like them, an accomplished warrior and mage. Her people wanted her to marry, so they sought out people from outside the forest to compete for her hand. The specifics of the story don't truly matter in this case, but the Elves depicted in the story truly love their magic. One spell used in it turned the speaker into a mound of salt!" Andrea explained, seemingly pretty excited to share the tidbit about the salt.

"Oh that does sound like quite the useful spell."Lilinoe said nodding "I shall find a suitable place for the conversation to be had and then have the body brought there then."

[Haspen]

"Mound of salt. I see. So a fanciful tale and a magical monster mystery that might or might not be about these... Elfs... is what we're having here." Richart rubs his temples.

"Tired?"

"Rather anxious at lack of definite answer to all this. I hope Lilinoe will have more to say after her conversation. Now go, you all. You've been in a fight, you should get some rest." Richart stiffles a cough. "Except you, Markus. I need to talk with you for a bit, alone."

[Solymr]

Markus waited until everyone else left before closing the door.

: Elves... Anyways, what did you want to talk about, Richart?

[Haspen]

Once the door closes, the nobleman looks at his old friend.

"Now that I don't accompany you to battle, I can't see how Merewin is doing on the battlefield." Richart leans into the chair, and sighs. "How is he?"

[Solymr]

: He's doing good, carries his own weight and then some. He might be relying on me too much, but on our next task I'll try to give him the reins.

: You should've seen him stab a spider so hard he ended up covered with its guts. Markus chuckled slightly. ...And how are you?

[Haspen]

"It's getting slightly unpleasant to breathe. Constricted, I would say." Richart takes a deep breath and then leans over the table, crossing his arms over its edge.

"So, a good fighter, but not yet a good leader, is what you're trying to say?"

[Solymr]

Markus grumbled worriedly, but didn't comment further on Richart's health.

: Yes. He's not lacking in initiative, but he doesn't seem confident enough to giving commands, at least while I'm present.

[Haspen]

"You are quite a presence on the battlefield, Markus. You've always been. I agree, he might be naturally falling in line with you around. Hm..." Richart rubs his chin and looks to the side for a while.

"How about next time--" A sudden coughing fit makes Richart heave forward. The cough does not subside until Richart coughs up a big one, and then leans away, the front of the desk splattered with tiny red droplets.

"Oh... now it really hurts. Call Aras back." He quickly wipes his lips with the back of his hand, and then touches the desk, breathing heavily, staring at the tiny red dots.

"Don't... cause a panic, please."

[Solymr]

Markus grimaced and turned to the door quickly, taking a deep breath and downgrading his expression to a frown the best he could, before leaving to fetch Aras.

: Aras, Richart wants to speak with you now that our talk is concluded.

[Caellath]

"Ah, yes. Of course." Aras hurried along to join Richart, healing supplies and staff at hand. "Has it progressed further?"
