Welcome to Team 2! This first design phase you will be submitting cards and voting on 5 to make it onto the cardlist.

Over on the Discord, we have a preliminary agreement that we'll design two cards for Might, two cards for Market, and one card for Eldritch, and Team 1 will design two cards for Anime, two cards for Swarm, and one card for Eldritch.

Basically, the intention is to make sure each flavor of magic has fair representation before further turns begin. After that, it's anyone's game.

Here's a few initial card submissions. Mostly focused on simple stuff - more a foundation, as opposed to legendary complex cards.

The Mercenary Soldier, though I like the concept of it, feels hella overcosted. It costs 1 Mana, has below 0 Cost stats, and its ability requires you to sacrifice a Mana Generator to activate, which is more expensive than just spending a Mana for said effect. So it's a minimum investment of two turns, one Mana, and the loss of a Mana source, for less value than you would have gotten by just playing one Warrior Recruit each of those turns. I think if you made it a 0 Cost it'd at least be on-curve.

I also don't think Quickplay and Haste, especially with a conditional effect added, are enough to eat two Mana worth of stats off of a card either, so you could probably afford to make Bloody Duelist a 4/3 at least for that kind of cost.


Only somewhat related but, to be honest: I think the Market color needs extra ways to gain Mana before anything else, since currently Gold is the primary way to gain Market Mana and if you activate the secondary effect you lose said Gold.

Now this here is a card that I feel both perfectly fits the Market theme of exchanging resources, and the weakness of letting your opponent benefit. It also helps deal with the issue of potentially running out of Gold.

This effect cannot trigger two turns in a row.

This card is a way to force a bit more strategy out of our opponents action order. If they attack with their biggest creature first, say to clear out a stronger threat for their weaklings, they can't use said big creature next turn.

The two market cards feel like they are more of a mix of market and other stuff, encampment as a swarm synergy and the entanglement eldritch, they strength seems reasonable though

I like the idea of Hired Gun actually, though I believe it's undercosted and needs a buff. I could be convinced to change my Mercenary Soldiers or Brutal Marauder votes but for now this is what I want.
