i love adventure mode

i love it becouse its fun to  get into the fantasy of DF

and its easy to get into the lore of killing a giant becouse i know what i giant is, and through movies/art/imagination i know what they look like, i can understand how epic it is to take on a dragon 1 on 1, becouse i know how bid and dangerouse a dragon is.

now almost every dungeon/hidden site has a main boss with a name, and the last three dungeons ive raided have had ettins, so what is a ettin?
picture plz?

In English folklore, an ettin has 3 heads...

But the DnD ones have two...

I think the df one has two as well...

3 heads xplains y my lasher severed 1 foot 1 lower arm, and 2 heads before he died

but if he is a giant how come the whip mostly glances away, the whip isually only glances away from scaled guys maybe its like a lizard or dragon not giant?

Why? Because it is the weakest weapon in the game. You'd have better luck wielding a cat corpse and bashing the Ettin repeatedly.

I always though of an ettin as like a mix between a giant and a yeti, and with additional heads.

That's because in (computer) gaming, they usually have exactly two.

I immediately thought of this: http://www.intriguing.com/mp/_pictures/grail/large/HolyGrail078.jpg

I'd prefer three headed one over the DnD version just because it'd be a change from usual and more original. Maybe I should mod in a three headed knight. Though I'm not sure if you can add armor and weapons with raws since all custom creatures seem to be animals.
