Team 3 - Saif

Saif nodded. Sure the dracotines had mostly been raised and educated together but he wanted to make sure everyone was up to date on each others' powers and their development. Also it was probably expected formality to do self-proper introductions and it'd help him a little before he could get actual files.

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

Ren

"I have the ability to turn water into six individual blades. Though I cannot wield them all at once, I have been given two swords to help me with focusing this power." Ren said all of this with the tone of a soldier reporting to their supervisor. "While I prefer melee combat, I can attack targets at range by launching these blades."

Meredith

"Rank 2 Trout, you could at least try to sound interested when sharing essential information with your commanding officer," Meredith said, irritation clearly visible. She was just bracing herself for "Melissa" to do something to make her look incompetent, she had no spare energy to keep the rest in line.

Tyline

Tyline rolls his eyes at Meredith's rebuke towards him. Then spoke again, voice rising towards a higher pitch and with some fake happiness injected into it.
"Fine, I will be a good soldier just like you."

Dia

Dia, on the other hand, seems perfectly comfortable in the heat. "No idea," he says in response to Saviri's question. "Rank 1, Dia Kovich, by the way," he says to the newcomers.

Team 1 - Meredith

"Yes, in fact, you will," Meredith said with a glare. "Need I remind you that you are a soldier? I'm sure as hell not going to just let you be a bad one."

Team 2 - Amara
It was around then that the room's door opened and shut. In its wake came unnerving silence as Amara strode in, eyes potentially on everyone and no one in particular from behind that black hedge of wool covering half her face. She opened her mouth in a hushed whisper that was still barely below normal conversation volume for most people. "You're all still here. Good. Have you been briefed?"

"No. Should we have been?" Dia immediately replies.

Team 2 - Amara
"Ideally. Yes." She answered flatly. "We are the first-response unit. When dragons strike, we are called on to hold the line. Day or Night. Rain or shine. Doesn't matter. Always be prepared."

She hesitated a bit before adding, "...we have also been afforded a high school education. We will remain stationed here for the foreseeable future."

Team 3 - Cordelia

With Ren's explanation of her own power, Cordelia points in her direction, looking at Kaymor specifically, "See? Six swords. Six entire swords. That's already far better than what I can offer" she says, stopping her hat and placing it on her lap, "Now, I'm not advocating for violence, especially between us, but if you need a spar, I would look in her direction rather than mine."

Team 3 - Kaymor

After a few moments of silence the bundled up figure of Kaymor wiggles a little as she responds half asleep, "Only need one... You can block... Life depends on it-"

A light snoring sound starts to escape from under her hood as she drifts off.

Team 1 - Vakari Delthera

By this point, Vakari's earlier smile was much more blatantly artificial.
They couldn't even get through introductions.

"Rank 2 Trout." A sharper tone, now. A silver tongue's a silver blade. "Need I reiterate that we are expected to be making the first expedition since Operation Phoenix Thrust. I cannot force you to be professional, but you do need to be dedicated to the mission - a 'good soldier' - because all of our lives and those of the soldiers with us will depend on everybody doing their jobs and pulling their weight.
Warrior Maur." He turns to his recent classmate. "I was not demanding full formality in the introductions. As I have mentioned, I can review everybody's files to identify any missing information, and anything else can and will be found in assessments. Rank 2 Trout's explanation of their power was sufficient for what I had requested."

Finally, he turned back toward the door, where he had told Smith to stop her 'behold'ing. "Rank 2 Smith. You have permission to speak." It was very clear that this specifically meant 'introduce yourself, damnit'.
This was going to be suffering, but if they couldn't even get the introductions finished, he may well just tell Leader Campbell to make them guards now.

Glass is, as usual, correct.
Yep, as ever, I bestow upon Glass the expected +1
I'm gonna say we go with whatever Glass's idea is.

Team 3

"Understood." Peppermint gave Saif a sharp nod, "I have a large sword that creates two secondary strikes adjacent to it when it hits earth or stone."

Of course Saif didn't need to be told. He and Peppermint were close friends and she'd kept him updated on her development even while he was away at the academy. He was also familiar with Ren Voldaren, though that familiarity came from hearsay. Her power wasn't the strongest, but it was flashy and stirred up a lot of talk among the other dracotines.

Team 3 - Ren

Ren turned to Cordelia, now far less professional as when she was explaining her powers to their supervisor. "I use them up over the course of a battle and I need to refill them by getting access to water, so your bubbles could become really helpful to me. Don't undersell yourself, we're still in training."

Team 1 - Meredith

Meredith flinched as if Vakari had shot her. She opened her mouth, likely to protest, but figured out that it would be hypocritical to interrupt now, so all that came out was a quiet "Yes sir." Vakari knew he'd get an earful later, but for now she was shutting up. At least until Melissa got some distance into her (re)introduction.
