Backstory: Born, and orphaned soon after, as one of countless 'Corporate Salvaging and Recycling Workers', affectionately known as Debt Slave Scrappers, his small size and disinclination towards complaining would see his childhood filled with dangerous work and hard labor. When he was teenager he would be conscripted by a pirate crew raiding his work site, spent a few years fighting and shipratting with them. Until the captain died, the crew divided and fought over what he left behind, and then split off their own ways. A life of experiencing one hardship after another. Appearance: A dark-haired young man in his early twenties, clean shaven and generally sharply dressed during the day-to-day, though he prefers his pilot suit. He's rather tall and of an athletic build.

Backstory: A once prodigal son of one of the many Zereon families, Zereth was blessed and cursed with the privilege of being far, far down the inheritance order. With no real responsibilities, nor any true status, he coasted along with his life, making it through one of the prestigious military academies (though his father had to pull some strings to fast-track him through the marksmanship courses due to his atrocious aim), but all along, he was met with constant disrespect from his peers, siblings and family - all because he was born too late to matter. Having enough and taking up some drastic action, Zereth hijacked one of his family's Modular Units and escaped, relinquishing his family name before becoming a merc in a bid for glory and recognition... eventually ending up drifting to Begreris.

MECHANICS
MU Hangar: a place where to store an unused Modular Unit. Each Hangar can hold one Modular Unit.
New Hangar: 10000 VC
Bounty Board: a board that centralizes all available contracts. Some contracts are only available to mercenaries who fulfill certain conditions, such as having positive relationship with a faction, or having a contact with a liaison.
Maintenance: after every mission, damaged parts are fully repaired for free. Destroyed parts however incur a cost per destroyed point of durability.
Repair cost for destroyed parts: 100 VC per durability point / 200 VC per armored durability point
HUB Network: a planetary network that allows mercenaries to contact other mercenaries, as well as the faction liaisons.
Urgent Contracts: time limited contracts with better rewards than other contracts of the same type.
Low-Priority Contracts: contracts available for a longer duration than urgent contracts. Some of these can be repeated.
You gain faction relationship as you complete contracts or go through events involving the factions.
Gaining relationship with a faction will open up their catalogue and will give you better deals. The faction is likely to call on you for special missions as well.
Losing relationship with a faction will have the opposite effects, and they might start trying to hunt you down if they consider you an enemy.
