Modular Units: a Mercenary tale of Missions, Mechs, and Money

A mech game where you play as a mercenary fighting for money, and maybe morals even if morals don't fill an empty belly.
Fulfil questionable contracts, earn money and invest that money to fulfil even more questionable contracts. Earning even more money in the process.

As said in the title: Missions, Mechs, and Money. The three essential M's in a mercenary's life.

Quarters
A refurbished basement underneath a local firing range, bought from the owners through a local contact. The back wall has been converted into an impromptu rack, upon which she hangs the few firearms she was willing to bring along from her personal collection. Her bed consists of a mattress on the floor, covered in MU plushies, several of them recognizable as being modeled after her parents' machines.
The rest of the room is... barren, to say the least. She probably doesn't know how to cook, considering that a microwave and a minifridge make up the entirety of her "kitchen."

Rom-333 "Drifter" [BAD JOKE] - (Prophet)

Quarters:
To call Drifter's room quarters would be disingenuous, it was an out of the way storage room that he rented for it's isolation in a back alley location. A small bed with a trunk, mostly containing industrial workwear and piloting gear, were shoved into a corner. With much more care, a side of the storage had been converted into a makeshift workstation, tools and supplies meticulously organized and cared for on the shelves closest to the work table. Further away, organized into their own sections, one could see several metalworking projects in various stages of progress, and another dedicated to a small collection of firearms, kept cleaned and inspected frequently.

Zereth "Sovereign" [SOVEREIGN] - (Hawk132)

Quarters:
Zereth's lodgings were a rather spartan ordeal - a place in which he could comfortably sleep, research and investigate. A workstation in one corner - the usual resting place of his PDA, his pistol and various tools - a wardrobe and shelves holding various baubles in the other, and a bed in another. A secure lockbox next to it held some items from 'home' - including a carefully folded banner with his House's heraldry. Sometimes, he considered hanging it on one of the walls, but he always shot the foolish idea down in the end.

Quarters:
At first glance, Derek's room may seem like a padded cell but with more furnishings. This is entirely correct, as every sharp corner occurring near the bed, walls, ... food containers, and sponges is covered with foam padding that ensures that he will not get bruised and nearly killed by a random falling plant pot. Which always seems to occur after suffering a minor injury...
Padded floors, walls, and surfaces of other furniture to prevent stubbed toes, which is not followed by a near miss with life-ending event but just generally sucks to have happen. Actually, his quarters might be safer than a padded cell, and sort of strange that the sponge needs padding, but that's the price to pay when life is out to get you.

Lu ██████ "Wrecker" [Skew] - (Egan_BW)

Quarters:
Wrecker's accommodations take the form of a sleek white lozenge shape bolted to the top of her prefab hangar. The portable home is airtight, made from extremely light materials, and even equipped with small RCS thrusters, making it an extremely expensive piece of hardware for something that's not a full blown spaceship or military hardware. It's the equivalent of a trailer home for the voidborne elite. The interior is luxurious and handsome in a sort of generic corporate way, soft and angular furniture slathered in brand names like a racecar. There's a hot tub and bar, neither of which see much actual use from the singular inhabitant.

I... think I did this right? The rulebook is a little ominous.

You did well, I will adjust and clarify your mech sheet. That's on me for failing to properly convey the mechanics.
- Handling and Profile are applied per part.
- Set Bonus: this is a bonus you can obtain by using a certain number of parts from the same manufacturer.

Adjusted, your Profile thus becomes 7 (3 Standard Parts, 1 Light Part).
As for your Handling, it becomes 0 (1.5 from Parts, -2 from Set Bonus).

I will edit some clarifications in the rules.

Addendum. I made a few mistakes in the rules, and forgot to clarify some mechanics.

Weight Class
To determine the Weight Class of a Unit, use the base profile of the Body Parts without taking into account any Profile addition/reduction.
The sum of this base profile determines the Weight Class of the Unit as follow:

Light = 5 base profile or lower
Standard/Medium = 9 base profile or lower
Heavy = 10+ base profile

I was considering making a heavy pilebunker brawler, but then I realized that I am cripplingly poor.

It's all good, more parts will be available later on, and I will let players reset their skill points after the tutorial run.
