Year 1900 of Equal Calendar, Continent of Belegia

The Sixty Years War that ravaged the continent has come to a close... 43 years ago.

Since then, the Kingdoms of Belegia - Aquileia, Aquitania, Estphal, Gellia, Nordgart and Westphal - have been working alongside each other to repair the tremendous damage and restore the population to high numbers. But that's only in the capital regions; bandits, monsters, cultists and warlords skulk about the countryside, usurping the righteous and oppressing the innocent.

Enter, dear player, the Continent of Belegia, and, alongside a young noble of a Kingdom, shape the future and history of the Continent...

...on a miniature scale!

Welcome to Belegian Emblems on Forums! A new series of short games meant to bring you close to the hand-crafted world of Belegia, rich in lore and history, which you can actually sample through roleplay, lore books, and ultimately shape it 'on a miniature scale' by resolving problems of one region after another. Little conflicts, little dramas, but I hope, lots of fun.


HANDBOOK: We will be using 3.Elf.15 Handbook without Weapon Experience module.
HOUSERULES:

• Tarot Affinity System: Once your sheet is accepted, I will use the mystical cards of Tarot to determine your two choices of an elemental Affinity. You will be able to pick either of these, or decline both. I will roll a third one for you, but that one's final.
• Map Objectives Level Ups: Each Battle Map in a Chapter will have few Victory Conditions. Each fulfilled Victory Condition grants 1 Level Up for all participants at the end of current Turn. Once all Objectives are complete, the Battle Map for that Chapter is finished.
• Loremasters: They are renamed to Loresingers because it sounds much cooler and is coherent with in-game lore, too.
• GM-assisted Character Bios: Unlike other FEFs, you don't need to write your bio outright (just a choice of your Dramatis Personae slot will do), and I invite you to write it after you get accepted. Your character's bio is tied-in to the Dramatis Personae of particular Belegian Emblem and the amount of Lore material a Player Character might get.
• Starting Levels and Classes: All characters, except Captain of the Guard, will start at First Class, Level 1. CotG Character starts as First Class with 5 Level ups for free. Starting Boni are increased, check within example character sheet below.

DRAMATIS PERSONAE:

Richart of Farfield: (NPC) A middle-aged mercenary recently ennobled as Lord Ravenkeep for his heroic deeds (which included saving the young Crown Prince from certain death). Has a very persistent, and a very worrying, cough.
Merewin, son of Richart: (NPC) Richart's only son, raised as a swordsman, and going to eventually inherit his father's noble title.
Captain of the Guard: (PC) Richart of Farfield's fellow mercenary and/or friend, gets +5 Level ups at start of the Game and extra lore awaits him or her.
House Priest/Healer: (PC) Must be able to wield staves. Will get extra religious lore.
House Scholar: (PC) Preferably some magic class, but feel free to surprise me. Will get lots of extra lore material to read and educate Merewin with.
House Bard: (PC) Performer of some sort. Will get extra entertainment lore.
Bodyguard A: (PC) Of any combat-focused class. Should probably be acquitained with Richart, Merewin, Captain of the Guard, or all of them.
Bodyguard B: (PC) Of any combat-focused class. Should probably be acquitained with Richart, Merewin, Captain of the Guard, or all of them.


Timetable for Emblem of Estphal:
6th September: OOC Thread is created and recruitment opens.
20th September: Final day for submission of character sheets before I start accepting them; accepted Players will be given lore materials to choose from and build their Character biographies on.
27th September: Ideally the day IC Thread is created and Emblem of Estphal begins at Prologue.
